  • Not impressed

I usually like this series, but I don’t like this one. I find it difficult to identify items because they are too dark and I can barely see them. One of the puzzles was VERY odd, but I solved it without even knowing how.

This game uses the "nightmare" senecio that so many other games have used. I HATE that format, and I’m disappointed to see this series using it.

It's a nice long intro, but this game isn’t for me.
  • Doesn’t play nicely

Games crash. Items don’t respond to well to touch. Story is ok.
  • Awful!

This game is VERY old and dated. The touch interface for iPad is abysmal. You can’t select at the bottom of the screen without closing the window. The content is rated “disturbing “, but I would simply call it cheesy. If you do choose to play this game, I highly recommend that you adjust the settings to allow you to skip games quickly—not because they are difficult because they certainly are not, but rather because they are impossibly tedious. To call this game boring is the kindest thing I could say.

    Do not waste your money.
  • Pretty good

Pretty good. Minus half star for unintended zoom and unintended return in HOP.
  • It quit!

I've gotten about two thirds of way through and it quit. I've reloads it and am trying again. I enjoyed the puzzles and tasks and would like to rate it higher but I need to be able to complete it first.
  • Exciting Game with 2 Major Glitches

    1. Menu button didn’t work throughout the game. 2. The controls are too sensitive within every HOP. It kept kicking me out.

Otherwise, I enjoyed playing this game. Many HOPs (including aforementioned glitch), long-playing, and I loved the graphics.
  • I love everything but ...

Terrors is great, I love it! I’m approx 3/4 through, so I can only write about what I’ve seen so far.The storyline isn’t anything new, (scientific experiment gone wrong, & the innocent test subjects have horrible experiences b/c of it.) but as long as you get the basic info from the folders, that’s really all you need. (the folders are part of the game, not collections, & will show with the hint button, if need be. Jane’s grandfather, (Is he alive, or is it his death spirit helping out? IDK just yet) tells you all that’s important, & pushes you in the right direction to solve the current terrors (Nightmares/Night Terrors).
You have to deal with each patients’ nightmares in another dimension/world, then come back to the house where the studies are taking place, and find the next patient... Then repeat.
You might think it sounds monotonous by my description, but it’s not. There are very few actual puzzles, it mainly focuses on HOGs.
That’s the only reason I didn’t give this game a 5*. The HOGs are waaaaayy to sensitive. If you’re trying to get an object that looks to be an inch or two from the bottom, it throws you back out into the room you’re in before you clicked on the HOGs. It gets very frustrating after awhile. Even when you’re not playing a HOG, you need to be careful it to click lower than 1-2” from the bottom - it will also take you back to the previous room.
I kept being thrown back into a previous room, and I was almost 3” from the bottom.
That touch sensitivity is great in the HOGs, you always get the item on the first try ... as long as it’s more to the middle of the screen; but just a bit too much when you’re out of the game, and back into the “regular screens”.
That sensitivity aside, the game is a good length, & it’s fun to play - I’ve been on it all day, b/c I’m enjoying it too much to stop! ;)
4 solid stars from me for another great “RedemptionCemetery” game!

The issue with this game is that the screen interface is problematic! Once again, ERS ruins the experience for us, with a game that seems glitchy when it really isn’t the case. The game screen extends only about 60% downwards until the inventory bar, making it extremely annoying because you will accidentally back tap to a previous location, out of an HO scene or puzzle, or out of a zoom zone.
You could customize settings. The storyline was a bit confusing and twisted but I was still able to grasp the general idea of the plot, and it held my interest. There was no cohesive journal but objectives and tasks were regularly updated, and you had a cell phone in which they were stored. Since this was a horror-themed game, the graphics were grim and frightening, but the quality of the graphics was excellent. The cut-scenes were quite electrifying as well. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. You were provided with a marked teleport map to transport you between locations, albeit with a slight delay. At certain locations you must collect a statuette. There were no morphing objects in the game, which was fantastic for me! The general gameplay was entertaining and the game flowed smoothly, and except for the aggravating back tapping issue, was actually glitch-free. The HO scenes were mostly word lists, and occasionally there was variation, but nothing very unusual. There was an interesting mix of puzzles/games, and there was quite a bit to accomplish at each location, because an ERS game does not provide you with a plethora of scenes to unlock. This game was not very long, even inclusive of the bonus adventure.
I enjoyed this game, but must deduct stars due to the interface and the accidental back tapping! Also, the game needed a faster refresh rate. Why can’t ERS give us a back button, which would solve the problem with their gameplay interface? My true rating will be 3.5 stars. I actually liked this game better than I believed I would.
    Happy gaming everyone!
UPDATE: Seriously BigFish are you trying to make us that miserable? Another Redemption Cemetery on top of this one? If ERS churned them out so closely together you can best believe that the new one will have some quality assurance issues!
Next month we will be getting a new game (a new Legacy) from Five BN Uk. That’s something to look forward to. It’s out on Googleplay but they said in April it will be available on other platforms, so hopefully they meant iOS. Shouldn’t we be getting a new game from our friends at Artifex Mundi soon? To answer that question, it’s already out and it’s called Chronicles of Magic. It must have just been released!
Izzyoc, where are you? You are our best link to game knowledge and I haven’t seen any reviews from you lately. I hope you are well!
  • Really glitchy on iPad mini

As others have said the screen touch is buggy as it backs out of the HOs if I tapped anywhere in the bottom third of the puzzle. I had to enlarge the screen to get a couple of objects by moving them up higher. Also the continue buttons at the bottom of the screen do not work. I have to tap on the upper part of the screen to continue. Thirdly I kept returning to previous locations when trying to pick up items in the bottom third of the screen. I made it through the game but used the hint button far more than usual instead of checking out objects because of the problems. I found several choices illogical. I can pick a red hot object out of the fire with my hands? No glove or tongs? It was just frustrating and I was glad to be done with it and didn’t waste any time deleting it.
  • Loved It!

Need more like this please! No complaints here!
