  • Super fun game, but glitchy and eats battery

The game is super fun to play, has good features (sliding scale to refine aim, lots of options for boosts), and is addictive! But the game has some serious issues: menu design problems (it’s impossible to return to the main Home Screen from some screens); is often slow (as if the device memory is insufficient for the game, which is doubtful); often crashes mid-game, which causes a loss of all progress (especially frustrating when you’re on the verge of winning, or used up boosts to make the progress); and eats through device battery charge VERY quickly: just 20 minutes of play uses roughly 75% of the battery in my (new) phone. Clearly the game was not well engineered/built in some crucial ways, which is a waste because the game play is great.

Update: I’ve downgraded from 3 stars to 1 star. I’ve deleted the game from my phone, and amazingly other issues I was experiencing with my phone have resolved. The boiler-plate response from the developer is very unhelpful, and it’s also clear from the history of reviews that none of the issues have been addressed.

  • Bricks and greed

They canceled my previous review, so I’m writing another one. I’m a gamer who reached level 1310 and played years to get there, not mentioning the enormous amount of money that I - willingly - threw at the game, and I’m here to warn other gamers that might be willing to try it out: don’t. Do yourselves a favour and don’t even start. It is a good game, really good, and quite addictive, hence the money I gave it through the years. But the enormous greed that animates whoever is behind it makes it really not worth mine or your time anymore. It used to be fun, expensive but fun. And it used to give gamers a good run for their money plus a decent amount of freebies to counterbalance the time and $$$ you were spending on it.
Now, forget it! They took away everything and only left a game completely unusable unless you spend a ridiculous amount of money to pass levels. Bye. I don’t even play it anymore. I just come check every now and then to see if the game owners have come to their senses but all I find are reviews of VERY disappointed people that are quitting the game. All that is left of a once great game. Greed is a terrible beast.

  • Rubies! Glitches in the system!!

UPDATE!!! I hate to say it, but there is a glitch in the game that has not been resolved for many weeks. Can’t get your free rubies. Can’t get any of the freebies. I’d say do not download until the system is fixed. This is literally the ONLY game I play. I’m so disappointed. And I have been stuck on the same level since the issues started. Maybe I’m too far advanced in the game… who knows. I’m very upset. When I email, it just says we are working on the issue..

I can never ever get to get my free rubies to load. Wayyy too many ads! Game is very frustrating and there’s no explanation or details in what anything means on the app. Fun game. I really love it. But unfortunately in trying to resolve the issue with obtaining my free daily rubies I ,yet again ,will have to delete the app. And this time it will be permanent. I can’t afford to spend a 100$ every other week when all I would need is for the rubies to load. Which I’m wondering if that how they get you to BUY them. Cuz the make some of the games IMPOSSIBLE to beat with out some help from the rubies! Thanks brick and balls for the biggest let down! I have tried!

  • Keep up the great work

A lot of games you see that are on your phone are usually not very good nor are the ads but this game was very difficult when I saw the game ad I was really impressed by how it was so interesting, fun looking, the ad was the real game, it wasn’t using any real life experiences to make it look like it could be used in real life, it was a game that was doing the right thing to try and get people to play it unlike most other noble games it was a good ad it had amazing game as well and if your parents are talking or you need to wait for something or someone or anything like that the game keeps you distracted and it keeps you distracted for a lot longer time then other noble games keep up the amazing work that you’ve done because I love it

  • Ads and pay to play

The game USED to be pretty good. Now it’s obvious that they just want to get you to subscribe to their diamond plan or pay to get boosts.

The weekly challenges give you a paltry amount of gems now and TEMPORARY boosts that disappear after all that work, and they’re designed to take you a few hundred gems to even get to the reward. Additionally, watching ads for “boosts” will give you an additional ball or two but more often gives you a temporary “boost” such as cross-bomb or lightning that CAN’T EVEN BE USED.

Same for “interesting journey,” which seems to have been built just so the developers can pretend that their ads are actually what’s shown in the game. Completing levels in the journey gives you temporary boosts every two or three levels. So you don’t even get any type of boost that you can use when you want; no, you get a boost that you can only use once IF you use it in the next 15-30 minutes. Oh, but you can buy more boosts if you need them later, sure you can! Just pay real money to buy the gems and voila!

Add to this the ads that they make you watch every time you restart or progress to another level and that the game frequently freezes, crashes and then you lose all your progress AND a life, and you’ll get an inkling of how frustrating the game has become.

  • A game you will keep

People are always complaining about ads in these reviews. However, the ads in this game are not very frequent or intrusive, and also I wish people would stop whining about it. If you want something for free in this country, there must be ads. That is how that works.
Now about the game itself. I have had this game for years now and although it has not always been my favorite or most frequently played game it is one I keep coming back to. It is simple enough that you can play it while doing something else, like cooking or watching or listening to something, because you can easily pause it or set it aside for a minute. Sometimes there are levels that you will be stuck on for a very very long time, like my current biggest nemesis in life level 455, but that is part of the fun.
Overall this is a great game.

  • Game has become more pay to play

The gameplay is satisfying and addicting, and I’ve played this game often over the past several years. I am approaching level 600 and am still enjoying the gameplay. However, over that time the game has become near impossible to play without spending money. To play this game without spending money, I have had to stockpile in game currency (gems) for weeks at a time just to make it passed one level. Additionally, they have made several changes to how in game currency is earned that have significantly harmed the experience. They have increased the cost to continue on with a level after you have lost, which is the only way to beat levels after around level 300. They have also reduced the free daily ad-watching reward significantly to grant fewer gems per day, which now makes it so that you have to stockpile gems for weeks at a time in order to beat a single level. Lastly, it used to be the case that the free daily login bonus automatically was opened when you opened the app, but now that has been changed to a less user-friendly method where you have to manually open the login bonus screen. This no doubt significantly harms the new user experience.
Overall, I am very disappointed in the greedy changes that the developers have made to the game I used to enjoy a lot more. Now the gameplay is far too tedious to enjoy. I would not recommend this game.

  • Game started great but recent changes worsened it

I liked this game a lot, to the point where I even paid the feee to remove ads, I’ve literally been playing for a few years but a little bit ago they made some adjustments that I didn’t care for.
One being you no longer get two “discounted” boosts if you lose the game to remove three layers of bricks, you get the free one with the ad and then it’s the 200 rubies or whatever the in game currency is, and it goes up 100 every time you lose, it use to be 140 then 160 then it went to 200 and continued as normal
Second thing is they made obtaining the rubies a little harder, they use to have a pop up for the daily challenges where you can watch an ad to sometimes to obtain rubies or double the amount you receive for free for that day if you watch an ad, now it doesn’t pop up and I forget about it and when I do remember and go to do it they don’t double it, it’s just for 50 rubies, hardly worth an ad so I don’t really do it. I’m guessing this is all a way to get you to pay actual money for more rubies so it is what it is, but I’ve noticed I played a lot less since these changes were made

  • Fantastic game, but stuck

I’ll start off by saying that I love and have played this game so much I paid to get rid of the ads. I play it all the time while I listen to podcasts or before bed. Unfortunately, I’ve hit a point where I can’t proceed any further. I made it to the 450s and now if I want to play it I have to go back and play old levels. It sounds hyperbolic but I’ve genuinely been stuck on this level for 2 years. I’ve paid for the boosts and the power-ups but it’s impossible. There’s just too many blocks per row and not enough power-ups in the world to get past this level. My friends (who also have this game) have tried, my boyfriend (who also has this game) has tried, and I’ve tried countless times and made no progress whatsoever. I will literally save up all my power-ups and gems from the special events just to get past this level and it’s still not enough. How is that even possible? It’s frustrating to the point where it’s not fun anymore.

  • Used to be better, greedy developers, look elsewhere.

Oh man, I used to LOVE this game!! I loved the challenge of the levels and also the option to earn more rubies by watching adds (even though I purchased the add free game - which was totally worth it originally), to help get through the harder levels. You used to have 10 chances to win 20 rubies in a 24 hr period, which was a big help when needed. A few months back the game switched it to 3 chances, so only 60 rubies a day vs. 200. Now it’s 3 chances to make 10 rubies. At only 30 a day, I find myself getting stuck on levels for weeks just trying to earn enough rubies for a boost. So I’ve gotten bored and moved on to better games. No one wants to be stuck on a level for weeks with the only option being to spend MORE money for a boost. The developers really look greedy by changing this, so I cannot recommend this game. Look elsewhere unless you want to be bored or spend a ton of money even AFTER purchasing the add free option.
