Great App but, needs to be updated
Hi, I never leave a review on anything but today is different. Let me give you some prefixes, I took my practical back in 2020 and passed. I took the written twice and failed. I took about 2.5 years off from studying due to life events. November 8th, took my test and I just received my result and I passed! I used this app to help study my Washington State Theory Test in conjunction of my milady book, I can say that some of these questions from the app are relatively similar to what was on my written exam. The one thing to note is that I wish they updated some of these questions or have scenarios questions. Overall, I passed and would like to thank this app for helping.

Esthetician test for CO
This app is good. But definitely not great. I think itโs really good for making sure you know certain things that you might have missed in class, or if you just need to refresh your brain. But itโs definitely not good for the actually esthetician exam. At least in the state of Colorado. I was told by my school and many of my friends to use this app to help me study for the test. And while this did help me with some questions, out of 85 questions that I had, I would say maybe 5-10 of them were actually on the app. The app also has probably over 500 questions so you do the math. Maybe it was just the exam the testing center gave me, but I mostly had to use my brain on that exam, not what I learned from this app. Maybe they should update it? Not sure what to do. Again itโs a good app if you want to refresh and double check what you know but itโs not great for the exams

MUST HAVE!
Just took my state board exam this morning and passed on the first try (Iโm in CA)
All I used was this app since it was recommended by some students in my class. I procrastinated for about a year and finally decided I needed to get it done, so Iโve been out of school for a good while now. I paid to unlock all of the practice tests on the app for the month and started taking a test every night this past week and I believe that is what helped the most.

Good for basics - Utah
I am in Utah, and I just took the master aesthetician state board of test. Although these flashcards were really helpful, it gave too much basic information and didnโt go into more depth that you would typically see at a master level. I really wish that they were some flashcards around chemical peels, and how to neutralize a peel and different types of peels and their ingredients.
For Utah master aestheticians, the theory test really focused on scientific concepts and skin care services. So I think if youโre just doing a basic, this app is pretty good information.
Yet it didnโt really help me with the test at all.
I would say, for master aestheticians in Utah, the biggest recommendation I can give is using the state bulletin through the PROV exams. I also purchased the practice test through them and it was a good precursor to what I could expect on the test. As of today in 2024 they are still directing testtakers to refer to the Malady advanced aesthetics exam book from 2013. So if you have the exam book, I would absolutely use it as a study guide and make flashcards for all the ones you got wrong, along with the practice test that PROV offers and I guarantee that youโll get a good score. I got a 98.
Also, from a UX perspective, I wish that the user interface allowed to user to just automatically go to the next question versus you having to push next. I know that seems minor but allowing it to automatically do it can help prepare for timing.

Very helpful
Iโm currently in the esthetics program at my school and I was recommended this app by my teacher. It really helps especially because it gives you reasons why your answer is either right or wrong. 9.99 a month is worth it! You can also get quizzed on answers you previously missed on various tests which makes it even better! Money well spent in my opinion!

USE THIS APP!!!
I have taken medical exams and have passed first time and gotten nation wide certifications. For some reason the esthetician exam is SO HARD. I personally think the content is outdated that we received in school. I even purchased practice test exams from the official website. I used all my given materials from school and failed the test 2 times (by 1-3 points) I scheduled the third test but I was telling myself I absolutely could not fail again. Thankfully I met another esti who told me about this app. I used this app and everything about it from the questions, language used etc. I just had a good feeling it was going to work for me too. I passed and I honestly retained information even better using this. Also im in NM if that helps anyone!

Amazinggg!!!
When I tell you guys this app was a god send! Literally was the perfect tool to help me prep for my exam! I purchased the bundle for $10 to unlock all the exams and when I tell you itโs perfect! During school I studied from the Milady text book & after each chapter I would follow up with the corresponding exam & when I tell you guys it was spot on everything I need to know maybe a couple things werenโt in there but over all itโs worth the investment & a great app to share , & Now Iโm an Official Licensed Esthetician !!!

Good App
I enjoy the app, it works good for free. I hear from my colleagues that this app works for their studying to allow them to pass their CA exam for esthetician. I like that you get the results right away, once you click your answer to the question. I do like the fact you can purchase by subject or you can have access to the exams with the subscriptions. The great thing is you can reset your exam and take it over and over.

Great for terms but outdated
Took my written test today and passed!
But I did come across several questions of situations that were not even explained in the app.. I did have a text book, but a lot of the stuff isnโt very expressive.
I.e- client comes in with said issue, has this medical condition.. what do you not do sort of questions.
Luckily the terms learning helped a ton to narrow it down, but a deeper context would have been amazing in the app.

A Valuable App
I live in Texas, so I followed the TDLR guidelines. The written exam was my biggest fear because I naturally struggle with test anxiety. I felt confident in my knowledge, but I wanted an extra boost to make me feel my absolute best. I used this app for a week straight, and took my test that following weekend. I passed my test with a 95, and completed it in 20 minutes. I highly recommend it this app to all upcoming Estheticians.
