What's New in Pillar Wallet. CrossChain DeFi
3.29.8
May 21, 2024
This is mainly a security release, addressing several security issues to help keep you safe and secure. Enjoy!
This wallet is not without fees. Deployment fees are not gas fees. I don’t see any deployment fees in MetaMask. Just because of that I am deleting that app, lack of transparency. You don’t hide business fees behind gas fees.
Response from developer
Hello Elthrae, sorry to hear you're having a negative experience with the wallet. What makes Pillar different from Metamask is that we're a smart contract wallet, operating as a smart contract instead of a key-based one. This opens up much more access to certain features that wouldn't be possible on Metamask, but it comes with the con of having to initiate the smart contract first, which is solely the gas fees for activation. Gas fees on Ethereum are generally expensive and you can't do much about that, that's why we suggest side-chain solutions where fees are next-to-none.
Hope to see you using Pillar again.
