Fixes: - The application would crash after signing up and setting an account using one of the social profiles. - A new profile image uploaded by the user wouldn't be reflected or displayed back on the "Profile" screen. - "An Internal Error" was being displayed whenever a user tried to extend a booking. - A user was unable to delete the card expiry date using the backspace key of the keyboard. - A user was unable to add an expiry date again if the user removed the one entered previously. - The time displayed when a user went to extend an hourly booking was incorrect. - Date/Time was different between the "Parking Pass" and "Extend Reservation" screen. - If a user was extending a "Daily" booking, then instead of extending it by "Days", the application was extending by "Hours". - Hourly rate was being displayed instead of Daily rate on extending the Daily reservation screen. - "Hours" or "Minutes" were not displayed in the correct format when a user tapped on the + / - buttons on the "Extend Booking" screen for an hourly booking. - The images for a parking space were not displayed in the application even though the images had been uploaded successfully to the website. - The application was crashing when a user tapped on "My Profile". - The time period that was chosen initially by a user wouldn't get persisted if the user came back to change it from the "Search Results" screen and the user would then be required to choose again.

Reviews of Parklinq

  • misleading parking info

We came to park at Maui Ocean Center and went to snorkel at harbor. We scanned the QR code before we onboarded and it turned out to be another parking company which is just one block away from where we parked and whose app looked exactly the same as this one.

Our vehicle got the ticket of $39.00 when we returned and the officer refused our request of appeal. We will never come to Hawaii again due to the poor management of parking spaces and they are trying to confuse the customers to pay more than what they need.
  • Doesn’t work

It doesn’t save my Hawaiian ID - which means it tries to charge me $15 for parking when I should be getting the first 2 hours free. What’s the point of this app if it doesn’t work?!
  • Terrible customer service

While convenient, don’t bother to use this app or their first-come, first-serve parking spots. Their customer service is not worth the hassle when something goes wrong.

We booked 24 hours at one of their lots in a popular area of Waikiki. The app promised no additional charges for coming in and out. However, after going out to dinner (about one hour later), we returned to find all the parking spots taken. I clicked on the “Someone’s in My Spot” button, which dialed a number that wasn’t even in operation. I went to their website’s Contact section and dialed a support number that went straight to voicemail. It said to text or leave a message, and someone would get back to me in a matter of minutes. That didn’t happen — I sat in my car for a good 30 min before looking for other public parking, which I paid for an hour. I returned to my hotel room to wait that additional hour, which passed without a response from them. I also sent them an email to no avail. Because I couldn’t park for more than 4 hours at a time at the public lot, I ended up valeting the car at my hotel for $50/night. I spent $81.50 just to park for that night.

In the morning, Parklinq called me back and refused to give me a full refund for my hassle and lack of communication. They said they will overbook the lots, and if it’s full when we return, too bad. That was not made clear on their website. If that’s the case, it would have been more convenient just to pay for the valet in the first place. Parklinq only refunded the hours at the point of contact. This also wasn’t clear and if I didn’t take the extra steps to contact them when their “Someone’s in My Spot” button didn’t work, I probably wouldn’t even have received a refund. The person on the phone was also unapologetic and doubled down on their button working and not have any support available in the evening as not their problem (They’re too busy having dinner — sure, but this is a business. Hire someone).

Bottom line, don’t use this app because of the poor customer support. If something happens like it did to me, the hassle will not be worth it.
