Along with firmware updates to the Blue Trident sensor (you will need to update via Step Desktop, you can now manage your sensors before and after a session, by assigning a custom name to each sensor. This update also introduces hibernation mode, helping preserve battery health of the Blue Trident sensor between data captures, ensuring optimal performance when you're ready to collect data.

We’ve improved the look and functionality of the athletes list by adding sorting functions! You can now sort your athlete list by first name, last name, or even most recent recording. We have also updated the sensor selection screen so the “Knock-Knock” feature is a little friendlier. Happy measuring :)

As the first release of 2021, we’ve added the ability to manage footnotes for many recordings at once via Group Footnotes. We’ve created a brand new screen where you can add, start, and stop a footnote on multiple recordings at the same time. You can also end all your recordings at once if all the sensors are in range. This iOS update will free up the amount of time you spend administering footnotes and managing sensors, allowing you to use that time more efficiently elsewhere! To learn more about how to use Group Footnotes, check out the onboarding video on our website. Note you’ll have to update IMU Step Desktop to handle your Group Footnotes, also available on our website www.imeasureu.com.

We have given your data more context than ever! You can now record up to 80 footnotes in a session, record a footnote video at the same time, plus you can see what your last session was like, to give you greater context on your upcoming session. We have also made IMU Step more robust and upgraded the sensor firmware, so you will need to update via IMU Step Desktop for Mac and Windows.

We have added in some great new features in this release: • New real-time functionality where IMU data is streamed in real-time to your apple device, allowing you to consume metrics such as peak acceleration impact and asymmetry, and use this live data to make meaningful training decisions and adjustments in-session. Note this currently only available on iPad • Increased the number of possible athletes you can start at one time from a single Apple device to 12 athletes, or 24 sensors, all at once. • Introduced Two Factor Authentication (2FA) to add another layer of security to your IMU Step account. • UI Tweaks and bug fixes

IMU Step now works with our latest sensor, BlueTrident! With a +/- 200g accelerometer recording at 1600Hz, waterproof design and 11 hour battery life, our latest creation will allow you to precisely quantify movement in the field like never before. Please note: your existing orange BlueThunder sensors will no longer work with the latest update, please contact your IMU representative if you have any issues.

We have added some great features, including adding Footnotes in Real-time, adding Athletes directly from the app, updating sensor firmware if your sensors are running an older version, and the ability to change or recover a forgotten password. Hope you love it as much as we do!
