Tide alert

Love tide alert! I walk my energetic young hunting dog, GSP, on the beach daily. Heโ€™s obsessed with hunting for fish, crabs, and birds, so we need plenty of space to avoid disturbing others. Low tide is the best time for our walks. I used to ask Googleโ€™s Alexa about it 3-4 times a day for a tide schedule, then I found the Tide Alert app. I added Tide Alert as a widget on my home screen. Now I have an interactive tide schedule at my fingertips. Love it!

Thank you for your kind feedback. Appreciate it very much and we hope you continue enjoy using the app.

Love the widgets

We have waterfront property so Iโ€™ve been using tide apps for a long time. I was settled on one app until I tried this one. It gives you everything you need and more. I love the โ€œshow reference levelโ€ option. Just tell it what tide level you are interested in and it will draw a line across the chart at that level. We have oyster bags on our beach and the tide has to be 3.6โ€™ or lower to access them. That reference line not only shows me where the tide is at in relation to the line but is also gives you the times when the tide will be below that line. I also love the widgets as my Apple Watch now tells me what the current tide level is and if itโ€™s coming in or going out. The app also tells you when the next high or low tide will be and even calculates how much time until that happens. The reference line and widgets sell it for me.

Fixed

This is a great user friendly and very detailed app. I really like it. Initially I had downloaded and paid for the app and it wasn't working properly. I got with customer support and they were very active in trying to resolve the issue, which they eventually did. Most app developers wouldn't have taken the great lengths to personally try and fix it. I'm very pleased and love the apps.

We apologize for the inconvenience. We have identified what was causing this issue for some users and have released a fix in the latest version (2.8.3). Kindly update your app to the latest version. Straightforward Graphics

I have a handful of tide apps but this is my favorite. I am a visual person so the clear and consistent graphics on this app are my go to. We live near an area where low tide exposes a lot of sandy beaches, this app helps me navigate when itโ€™s safe to go and for how long. We also use it for sailing trips to track the moon and hourly tide levels. It helps me understand a new place quickly.

New required subscription fee?

Iโ€™ve been using this app for the past 2-3 years and itโ€™s worked great and I really liked how it was set up. I used it frequently for my job as I do a lot of field work with environmentally sensitive properties on the coast. However, apparently a subscription fee is required for information that I can literally google for free. I loved having this on my phone for the convenience of it. But it looks Iโ€™ll be deleting it because Iโ€™m not paying an annual subscription fee to a government agency for an app. And honestly this app should be free especially if itโ€™s offered by NOAA, considering that part of their mission is to effectively disseminate important information related to our climate.

We apologize for the inconvenience. There appears to be some misunderstanding here so would like to clarify it. Please note that this app is developed and owned by a 3rd party and is not offered nor sponsored by NOAA. This is also made clear in our disclaimer. The app provides many interesting visualizations and features on multiple platforms while using the data provided by NOAA. Every day

I use this app everyday for to check the tides for my dog walk. I used the free version for a year and now have the paid version. Itโ€™s really nice to be able to look ahead and see the tides and use the monthly graph as well to see the tides and the moon status and plan full moon and low tide exploring on the coast.

Great tide app - Needs Family Sharing!

I love this app. I live near a short beach and prefer walking dogs at low tide (otherwise thereโ€™s no beach to walk on). It is also invaluable to quickly know when the tides are for fishing.

The reason that I selected this app over other tide apps was for its widget on the home screen. Now there is also a widget for the lock screen in iOS 16.

My only major complaint is the lack of Family Sharing support. The yearly subscription cost is high (itโ€™s the most expensive of any app I use) and for this price, I feel my wife should not have to also pay to see the tides on her own phone.

Developers: please enable family sharing for this app! Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback. We acknowledge your comment about family sharing and we are happy to say Family sharing is now enabled.

Used to be my go-to, but unresolvable bugโ€ฆ

I used to constantly use this app, but it recently stopped working and will not show the tides no matter what I try (reinstalling, restarting phone, updating, etc.). Iโ€™ve been unable to find any contact information to get this resolved, so this has been very frustrating.

Southern California

Knowing when it is low tide and being reminded of it by this tide app I am so appreciative because I can drive a few miles down to the beach and go for a walk and relax and air my thoughts and communicate with the beautiful nature thank you for your alerts tidal app

Best tide app I've found.

Works flawlessly, and has great additional information beyond just high and low tide. Awesome app. Get the pay version for even more features, but you don't have to. Even the free version is way better than anything else.
