Pop Out Timer & Stopwatch User Reviews

Paid version only gives you 4:59:59 max time for a timer

I paid for this app and it only lets you set timers up to 4:59:59. What a waste! I need more than 5 hours and the ability to set it to however long I need. Sometimes 3 days for certain things. Sometimes I need 36 hours. Let me be able to do that please.

Response from developer

Although the timer currently has the 5 hour limitation, you could use the stopwatch instead to count up to however long you need. If the app doesn't meet your needs you can request a refund from Apple.

Reset after stop on pop out

Thanks for listening to comments about the pop out timer resetting! I already loved the app, but having that additional option to reset it makes a difference when practicing public speaking over and over again.

Response from developer

With version 4.1 we've added reset functionality to the Timer. You can find it in the top-right menu on the Timer screen: Reset When Stopped.

I wish the alarm was louder

This is a good app. But the alarm is too quiet and I wish it would continue to rain until I turn it off. It’s very easy to miss it, which defeats the purpose.

Response from developer

With version 4.1, we've added options to adjust alarm volume and duration. You can find the new options in the top-right menu on the Timer screen.

Love the App for presentations!

I love the app for presentations! Just one thing that would be nice is for it to have the reset of the timer in the pop out, for when you are practicing, you can easily reset rather than go back to app to do that.

Doesn’t work with PowerPoint

App works fine until I try to present my PowerPoint, then disappears from the presented display

Response from developer

Certain apps like PowerPoint take over external displays. Pop Out Timer will continue to run perfectly in Picture-in-Picture on the source device so that the presenter can keep an eye on their time while presenting. But no, it will not be displayed for the audience viewing the external display.

Really is a paid app

I think it will be good but I can’t tell since it only works for 5 minutes (stopwatch part is all i care about) and not even that. It really only works once. Maybe it did the 5 minutes in the background but the second time I tried to use it, it said i had to upgrade. This is inappropriate unless it’s advertised as paid.

Response from developer

There is a 5 minute limit so that you can test it out and make sure it is something you want to pay for. We don't advertise it as free and the in-app purchases can be seen from the App Store listing.

This team gets it

As an educator I have consistently loved the apps that this company makes. This one is a great way to (a) have a clock on your screen at all times, (b) quickly make a timer/stopwatch, and (c) have it persists while you do other stuff. I often present from my iPad and mirror using Powerpoint/Keynote/GoodNotes, and this is a wonderful tool to have. Kudos to the devs!

Great pop out stopwatch

Love it, just wish I could reset the time on the PIP window

Response from developer

You can! Just flip the switch to turn on Lap Mode. Whenever you pause and then play again from the popped out window the time will restart at 0:00.

A great, really useful app!

I use this app every day for my gym and fitness workouts - quick and easy to use, it’s just one of those apps that “work” and the latest updates makes it even better!

Great app

Exactly what I needed for stretch while watch videos. I had a question and the developer emailed me back pronto. Great app.
