I’ve read a lot of interactive fiction. This series is easily the best. Choices matter: relationships crumble or prosper, characters die or live, the ending is either uplifting or haunting. Truly the best book to read again and again.Crazysteveon

Worthy of a Standing Ovation
I’ve played many of these kinds of games and this one may well be my favorite. Very well written with excellent story telling. Intriguing and enjoyable cast. Any spelling and grammar issues were very minor and few and far between.
Often times the writers of these stories have an obvious weakness, be it grammatical errors, believability, rationality, pacing, or flat characters that are distracting and can even render some stories unreadable.

Beautifully written and well thought out storyline with some truly intriguing characters that I've grown quite attached to. Loving the romance options too (hopeless romantic here). I think I've read through this book about eight times now, and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. I find that I'm actually reading it again instead of just skimming over the pages, which is saying something for storyline.
Hats off to the author, keep up the amazing work!! Simply cannot wait for the sequel, and hopefully a few more after that. I'm looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the detective and her entourage ;)Show lessChoice of game addict :P

I have just about every choice book out there but this one is my top favorites. Good writing, interesting characters, and a surprising amount of narrative choice. Plus 5 vampires to choose from lol, and not it’s not twilight. It’s actually goodOmegaDemon

I really enjoyed this game! The storyline is interesting and the characters are so fun to interact with! I do kinda wish that the decisions you make have more of an influence on you and what you can do later, but that’s not really that big a deal and aside from that I didn’t really find anything wrong with the game!Show lesschrysanthemum becker

Spectacular book! The characters are so engagingly real, the plot is so complimentary, and the pure depth of the choices (and the length of the book!) make for major responsibility.

This is a real choose your own adventure. Lots of personalized romance choices, or none at all! You can be a loner or a team player and all of the dialogue perfectly reflects your choices.
