  • Fun!

Ok... this game is great, but this is a starting point, IMO. The obvious feedback is, much more is needed. Would love to see developers create more options of furniture and appliances, and appointments (e.g. carpets, paintings, other decorative stuff). Wall paint options would help too.

I got the platinum version, and love it, but find the game limiting in its current version. In my imagination, this game one day expands to allow the economics to work well for buildings that aren’t super tall, to allow for more city scape diversity. Also, needs non-residential building options (commercial and office buildings) to really round out its full potential.

I really like it, and hope more is added soon!

  • Overall excellent

This game is amazing. I can’t seem to find much wrong with it. These are just some personal things. First off it would be an improvement to add park customization options. It’s a bit blank( I can’t think of a different word) to have a blank slate like that without the ability to edit it. It would also be nice to different material to make columns out of that are stronger or weaker than others. Cars and people would be nice to have as an option but it’s not too important. Again this is an amazing game if you’re into creating and designing things. Other than what I previously mentioned, I can not see anything wrong. Thanks for making this.

  • Very irritating. Gave up.

Extremely difficult to operate on a smartphone without making lots of mistakes with the buildings. Too easy to add building parts that you didn’t intend to add, the drag navigation to view your city/buildings is very difficult to work with, the graphics are blocky and unrealistic, and it is annoying to try to get your layouts simply symmetrical without clicking in the wrong place. Good luck deleting any pieces that were added by accident in the middle of a very tall building that you have already tried to make three times, or deleting any furnishings without accidentally deleting a whole floor of your building. I have been working hard at this game for a couple of hours and I have finally given up on only my second building. Irritated and not going to recommend to my architecture degree friends.

    Developer Response

Hi Mikaela, Thank you for giving the game a try, and for your detailed and specific feedback. It is critical feedback like this that pushes us to improve, and that is exactly what we have done. In the latest version of the game we have taken steps to address each of the issues you outlined in your review. Our objective is to make the app as easy and frustration-free to use as possible. Admittedly, there are things we did in previous versions of the app that did not live up to that objective, and we have tried to rectify all of those issues in the latest release. We'd love it if you’d be willing to give the latest version of the game a try, and let us know what you think! I think you will find that everything from drag navigation, to adding and deleting floorplan items, to graphics and performance have been substantially improved. We've also added a lot of new floorplan items that will enable you to create buildings that are much more interesting and dynamic (swimming pools, floor gaps, roof plants, fire pits, and water arcs, to name just a few!). We take user feedback very seriously, especially when it describes a frustrating experience. We hope you'll give the game another chance to prove itself, and we look forward to any additional feedback you may have! Please feel free to reach us using the in-app feedback form, or by emailing us at info@skyscraper4d.com. Thanks again, and have a great day!
  • This is a great take on city building apps

App works perfectly. The UI is amazingly maneuverable and easy to work with. At first it seemed too simple but as I watched diff tutorials as needed my buildings got better and more sophisticated. I’m a novice by comparison to some I’ve seen in the preview and on line.
Most of all it’s free at level 1 and pretty reasonable at next two levels. Nice thing is you get to play with it before having to go up a package or two. There are only three now but I am really hoping to see more levels. Plants would be nice—but no ferns please:-)
I keep waiting for some hook you know a horrible borage of adds. Or some pay as you go coin purchase thing but i don’t suspect that’s coming from this developer. And in the meantime the building process without a lame mayor or pesky people or worse yet clients is a delight.
You can’t gripe about the money for a Great App.
Ps CC is pretty nice and accommodating
    Thank you

  • Amazing game

I have always loved city building games, but on the iPhone I had yet to find a good personal customizable game. After getting this game I am glad to say that this is the best city building game I’ve found on the mobile devices, and it’s truly amazing. Building massive skyscrapers with only your imagination as the limit, this game deserves more then 5 stars but sadly this is the most I can go. Great job on this game!!

  • Fun. 5 stars. Still room to improve

I enjoy this game through and through. That said, it needs more floor plans like bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, and things like pool tables etc.. It would also be nice if there was more of a purpose to it other than just fun building when bored. I’d like to see areas with higher profit buildings increase the land cost because of the location. Just some ideas. Great game still with all that said. Addictive and fun.

  • Great app, but clear money grabber

Don’t get me wrong the UI, Controls, Functionality and General user friendliness is stellar. I would have rated it higher if the description was honest, it claims to have no ads (which as far as I could tell was true) and No IN APP purchases, which is why I downloaded it, because I was tired of apps and games cramming Ads down your throat and forcing you to pay $0.99 or higher just to take off Ads for a game that may get delete or is guaranteed to eventually stop being supported by the developers. If the description had been honest about having In App purchases and the extreme limitations on the “Free” version I would have given it a higher review, because then I would know what I am getting and it shows transparency

  • A lot of fun except...

So I gave this 5 stars because ultimately it’s a lot of fun. I’m sure the more I play it the better I will get. I would love to see option for office furniture, and a doors for main lobby as well as balconies. And curved/angled roofs. The ONLY major issue I have is panning/tilts zoom and over all map movement. It’s WAY to sensitive. I get pulled under ground a lot like I’m in stranger things 😂. (And some cars too) we pay good money awesome start can’t wait to see where this grows!

  • Love it!

I love the app! As an architect graduate I decided not to become an architect for now but pursue other dreams. However, I will always love expressing my ideas and build or draw model ideas during my free time and I am glad we finally came far enough to have something on our phones. I wish you could do more as in shapes and unique type of structures but still very happy. I would really like to see a feature where you can look at the city or buildings as a pedestrian because the looking around for me is a bit tough.
Thanks for an amazing app guys! Keep it up, looking forward to the future.

  • Move it to a pc/Mac based platform

I’m not that creative first off, so trying to get a handle of things and make pretty cool architectural designs will tough but a great challenge with this. I think the game interface is really well done. Graphics are a plus and the tutorial is really simple and helpful. This is my personal preferences but I feel navigation on a mouse or trackpad would be a lot easier if not only having this on the App Store, but valve’s steam as well I think maybe like $1-$5 range price tag would be beneficial as well. It is endless possibilities and I think this app definitely has more potential than show. Maybe adding more Cosmetics in future updates is something the devs have in mind like bathroom, bedroom, or living room appliances as well. These games always interested me and it’s definitely in my top along with sim city build it and city skylines. But my main takeaway is may be pushing it toward a pc and/or Mac base market as well. That’s my opinion. I don’t really know too much on what the devs want out of this or where they’re going with this app, or even the market for such a game on a computer based platform and the coding take to reprogram the mechanics as well. But overall still a great game
