  • okay

I’ve played other games by snap break and the stories for them (excluding faraway games) are never really solid. I want to learn more about what’s happening in each game but after it ends there’s nothing else!
  • Buggy

I was having fun until the frustration became too much and all fun was gone. The dual switches, only one stays down. Then I ended up in the cube room maze and couldn’t get out to go look at the hologram cube. I consulted a walkthrough but when I went back to the game, of course I was back in the cube maze but now I can’t move at all! I can’t tap any open hole to go through. This really stinks. Delete. SO glad I didn’t buy the whole thing!

  • Perplexing

I wanted to really enjoy this game. I did. Well I sort of do. It’s complicated. The artwork looks lovely, it has a great soundtrack and it’s point and click. It’s three chapters long and so it’s not just a quick few bucks thrown away for a thirty minute pixel hunt. However, what this game is missing is obvious prompts that ask you to look for specific clues or take notice of your environment to get said clues to solve puzzles. I found myself going round in circles not knowing which item to use or where to use it. It started to become increasingly frustrating. Look. The game is story driven, it looks great, sounds great, in fact everything about is great. It’s just, it’s missing some serious informative narrative that points you in the right direction and gives you ideas about what to do. Once I end up depending on a walkthrough to get through a room I’m more or less done. I just get the game finished so it’s filed under “done”. Maybe it’s just me? I’d definitely support the dev though. If the game had some in built hints I’d give it another whirl and advise you all to do the same. A for effort. Four stars because it looks nice, sounds ambient and has huge potential.

  • Thorough Abandoned

Love this game but I agree very buggy. The things I noticed in Chapter 1 that differs from the walkthrough is when you go through the first door and get the pick when you break down the wall to get the tire, the light is on. The connection is when you come out of the underground mine and go up the ladder to the ladder you’ve got the key card to get into the cave door when you walk in the door the rubicks cube is only half colored so all the buttons aren’t there for the mine so you can’t get the light bulb and your journey stops there. Please fix look forward to revising my review and finishing the game.

  • Unfortunate Interface

I have paid for and completed every Snapbreak game up to this point. I was ready to complete the series with this release and was ready to pay for the full game until I tried the first level.

While the game is pretty and I appreciate the animation style visuals, the controls are horrible. Like another user stated, you are constantly moving to adjacent screens by accident while looking for places to tap on.

The other big problem is poor use of the screen edge on the iPhone X. The inventory area is way too thin and close to the edge to the point where I must awkwardly bend my hand and finger to tap on it. Other times my hand mistakenly “taps” on items close to the edge if I hold my phone the wrong way. Granted, one could partially attribute this to the iPhone X’s interface itself, but a very simple fix would be to introduce a border around the entire game.

Edge to edge is pretty to look at but for games they often cause interface problems. This game is not alone in that aspect.

Snapbreak games require a lot of patience as you randomly tap around the screen looking for clues and actions. The interface in this particular release makes this aspect of these games impossibly frustrating.

Will skip till there are fixes. I want to like this game!

  • Chapter 2 crashes often.

Since posting this review yesterday, the game crashes just after loading. Don't waste any money on this game.

I'll bet they reply with "Hi there. ..please email a screen shot". I've loved this game. I bought chapters 2 and 3 after the "we fixed the crash problem" update. Since then, It's crashed many times during chapter 2. If I wasn't so into the game I'd just delete it. I guess I'll just give it a bad review and keep trying to play.

  • It was ok...

The graphics on the second level look like they’re done in MS Paint, which I wouldn’t mind except the game is buggy, moving around the map can be difficult and the solutions to a lot of the puzzles seem to be tap and hope. There’s a few puzzles that don’t need to be completed to get to the end which is confusing. It’s a shame as I paid for this as I love these sort of games, but I’m thoroughly disappointed. Even the walkthrough video doesn’t seem to know what it’s doing.

Edit: the third level was actually pretty good. The second let the game down as the graphics were pretty poor compared to the first.

  • Really sad

It’s really good and all but the part in the temple where you have to get out of that maze in the wall is literally impossible for me. I looked at the video and did everything it did but can’t get out. When I can’t do something in a game I just delete it. Anyone help ??

  • Interesting but with glitches

Hi developer, hope you could see this review. I think the “buggy” comments in the other review might mean that sometimes the game will freeze for couple of seconds. You can tap the icons but the game itself doesn’t respond. Hopefully you could address the problem. Anyway This is a great game though.

  • Good but

I would love to give you more stars as this game kept my interest in the free trial. But.. the ‘slide or press side’ to move, made it very hard to navigate the game without going to the before or next seen by accident. Maybe some tiny arrows would help, or even choosing one or the other? And, as interesting as it was, I feel I’d get very lost without a map of sorts. I know you have to discover new areas, but even if it blacked out areas until you found them would be much better imo. Thanks
