This game has a good storyline and many different puzzles.

Quite a good little game filler. As always with these games the graphics are busy to much crammed in. Otherwise not bad. Thank you big fish.
Pretty good
How many times should you have to find a broom to clear away cobwebs? Or find food (or a whistle) to distract/scare away animals? Nothing new here although the game was long and the artwork good. Some games were impenetrable to me - even with instructions. Still waiting for a game with McGyver elements - one where I donโt have to find a pickaxe to bash open a box when there a perfectly good rock in my inventory.

Mystery Tales: Dangerous Desires by LynxMinx
I feel badly that I am not rating this game higher but I felt that it was somewhat dull. Actually I must have been very bored because I fell asleep not once but twice while playing! Of course Domini does provide many bells and whistles. The entire game is customizable, from your difficulty settings, to showing collectibles on the map, to easy vs. hard options on certain puzzles/games. For collectible lovers, there are diary pages, notes, morphing medieval weapons and coins you may use to decorate a boudoir. A marked teleport map was provided to transport you nearly instantaneously between locations. There was a plethora of tasks to accomplish at most locations. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. Although there was no cohesive journal objectives were regularly updated. The HO scenes had the usual variation or you could play match-3 as an alternative. This game had a large amount of puzzles and games, which generally I enjoy but (Kim, I like your new word!) so many of them were of the boring rotational genre that it mildly irked me. I thought the graphics were not the best that we have seen from Domini. They were extremely blurry and muddy, and it seemed like the pervasive color was blue. Or maybe itโs my mood! The storyline was not novel or unique, and the gimmick in this game (paranormal glasses) was the same as in the rest of the series. It would have been nice to have had some new inventions to use. This game was on the long side inclusive of the bonus adventure.

I think I was a bit harsh in rating this game, and it would be unfair to take out my suffering from my accident on this developer, who gives us basic but good gameplay. UPDATE: BigFish actually gave us a game today. Unfortunately I am not a fan of this series, Mystery Case Files, and lately not a fan of EIPIX. I will wait on reviews from other trusted players.

Not a bad game, puzzles a bit challenging
Enjoyable but too short
I think that has been my view of almost every game I have played recently, that they are all too short. Often, the remaining game play following the demo is not substantial enough to warrant the purchase, but you never know that until you have made the purchase. I often long for the days when games provided hours of entertainment. First game I ever played, Zork. That was in the mid 80s. Interactive fiction with no graphics, but hours and hour and even days of game play!

Not much Mystery
I was so excited to see another installment of this series. But as I played I realized that the plot and action was lacking this time. You could guess what was going to happen next. I was bored by the end wondering when it would reach the end. Hopefully the next installment will have the excitement and plot twist of the previous ones.

Nothing spectacular but not bad
Nothing really original, but plays pretty well. Has match 3 available if you tire of the hog. Seems a tad dated but itโs a decent time waster. Do play the freebie and see if you are interested

Redundant
I could only give this three stars. I usually like Mystery Tales, but this particular storyline has been done too many times. Guy like sheโs daughter/wife/both. Must bring them back to life. But dude is dead himself. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ And how many amulets and crystals can you use in one game. I did like the graphics, and most of the gameplay. But it might be time for a fresh storyline.

This Series Is Leaning Towards The 'Safe' Side!
I was pleasantly surprised that we got a new game on Sunday, possibly due to the outpouring of reviewers' complaints over the denial of a "real" hidden-object adventure this past Wednesday. For this new release, I am grateful. However, because of the predictable storyline, as well as the pedestrian gameplay, I have become a bit bored with this sequel.
One distinct feature is that under custom settings, you can select a difficulty setting for the game; furthermore, you can chose between difficulty modes for most of the individual puzzles.
You utilize the same-old gimmicky trope, which, in my opinion, fails to add any layer of inventiveness; however, I'll refrain from commenting about it. The assorted HOSs are interactive, but I miss the puzzle-like elements we see in other developers' games. I have not detected any novel techniques in any of the HOSs, it's just straightforward gameplay. If you are not a lover of puzzles, please be aware that the tip of the scale heavily weighs in favor of puzzles, which delights me since I am a total "puzzle-saurus" (self-coined term expressing my insatiable hunger for an abundance of puzzles). Some puzzles are very challenging and take time to solve; unfortunately, many are composed of the "moving one part affects the other parts" format โ which turned stale after a while. The few collectibles are, as usual, entertaining, as you get to read about interesting medieval weapons, and decorate a room.
In my opinion, none of the features are memorable. I'm slightly disappointed that the majority of the puzzles are described as above. That made the game less enjoyable and more tedious, on top off the lack of innovative qualities. Even the immersive animations are sparsely presented compared to their other games. For me, playtime is a decent length due to the time it takes to solve the more challenging puzzles. The transition is seamless, and I've no glitches to report. My true rating is 3.5 stars, but since my attention has been drifting away, I'm lowering my rating to a final three stars.
