Kinda works
Love the fridge. Kinda like the app. When it disconnects from the phone due to leaving the area, on return returning, it does not pick up the current fridge temperature. Meaning that the app displays a different temp than the display on the front of the Alta 50. In order to correct this you have to turn the fridge off, then back on, reestablish the Bluetooth connection, make whatever settings changes that you had previously made and then the link works. I’ve had several other portable fridges before this one some with apps. I’ve never seen behavior like this app has. Please fix it Goal Zero. Thanks.

Goal zero device app
I was having problems with my GZ1500 while out doing offgrid camping. My 12v output socket stopped working. So called tech support. They directed me to update my firmware. Started this s while whole thing because I had tried to connect to their app once and my password would not work.
Anyway, I had tried change my password. Before I was able thier system timed out and I had to wait 24 hrs to reset. After waiting 24 hrs, finally got the app to connect to a network to find that my 12v input is bad.
Just tried to setup my GZ500 and to connect direct through WiFi is tough. I think I got it to connect, but now the app just shows advertisements and will not go back to the device.

App Works Great for me
Was easy to connect and I am able to see accessible energy, time to charge, switch power ports on or off from the app, and energy usage history. Was easy to update the firmware as well.
