Reviews of Pig Works Events

Just doesn’t work

The most important part of the app is live tracking of the runners. It does not offer accurate live tracking during the recent races and shows half marathoners running full marathons with arbitrary mile times applied to everyone. Embarrassing and useless.

False advertising

It clearly says “Track Participant Live”, but it’s not live at all. It just records when you crossed the starting line and then estimates where they would be based on an average running pace. I was watching the live tracking to support my runner, and it showed they were almost to where we were standing. We kept watching for them, and nothing. Checked the app again, and it showed they were already past us. I knew we hadn’t seen them, so I pulled up the track my iPhone app, and they were still two miles back from where the supposed live tracker said they were.

Kept crashing

This app has lots of whistles and bells, but the main reason I was using it was to track family and friends as they ran the course. App worked great for the first hour, then apparently couldn’t handle the traffic and began to crash after only a minute. Had to keep reopening it over and over. Finally gave up.
