  • one word: AMAZING! 😄😄

I absolutely love Foobee! As a new college student from out of town, this is totally a new concept from the other social apps out there. This one tops the scales!!!! I can instantly set up a group event with people who have the same cravings as me!!! definitely better than other social apps out there. Would definitely give this a try 🙌🏻👏🏻 9/10

  • 👍🏻👍🏻

Inventive idea - even outside of dates, you can connect with those that have similar interests around you. A great way to meet others (and get some discounts too)!
  • It’s cool

I think their cravings are really interesting. I like the idea of seeing what people want to do before talking to them. It also helps me straight up avoid people too XD

The specials are great too. I will not complain about a coupon ^^

But yeah, cool app, I’d def recommend.
  • Can’t delete account

Seems like Foobee is collecting user data and has no way of letting users delete their account
  • It’s pretty great

I like how you can set your hobbies to just find people with similar tastes. Could use some UI refinement, but overall I’m liking it more than tinder
  • A social app that’s actually social!

I’m tired of speaking to bots all the time! I just want an app that allows me to see what people like before I ask them. No more awkward icebreakers and cheesy oneliners!
  • Such a cool concept!

This is the coolest app idea! It combines Tinder and Groupon to actually creates cohesive app that you can meet friends on without being creepy. I can’t wait to see what new specials are in my area.
  • Updated Review (Since my last was removed)

Inconsistent user interface (colors, buttons, fonts, icons, etc). Icons for “Cravings” look like they are from online packs and that the choices are limited to what’s provided in those packs. App broke multiple times upon registering, as well as in the profile option and while uploading a photo from camera roll.

Concept is merely a slight/generic iteration of previous successful friendship/dating platforms, doesn’t hold any new appeal, and provides no incentive to any user who may be engaged in another platform such as Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge.

    Advice:

Habit-forming products inherently only succeed when you’re able to disengage a user’s habits off of one platform and engage it to yours instead. This is done through an appealing concept and a familiar, simple to use interface. The interface of Foobee is foreign in comparison to other apps within the same category, making a user have to work to learn how to navigate through it, an action that could be make or break for ever returning to the product.

    Concept:

Though a lot of this platform seems similar to others, as stated in detail above, the idea behind the project seems honest and like something that has significant potential to succeed given you take another approach. Attempt to rework and expand upon as much of the idea as possible, slowly straying it away from the general idea of comparing platforms while keeping a familiar and engaging experience to the user.

For example, you could focus on adding more functionality to the “Specials” tab and really emphasize on the feature by allowing users to share specials with each other through messaging and create private events within the chat (similar to FB with going/not going) that allows a more clear direction for plans if the users haven’t moved off of the app onto texting yet. You could expand further and add group messaging to this idea.

    Interface:

Redesign the interface to compare to other products on the market to provide autonomous thought to a user navigating the platform the first time, work on adding animations into the platform so every tap doesn’t seem stale, and pay more attention to detail in keeping everything consistent.

Its difficult to manage a project this large and keep everything in sync, but taking the extra time and putting in the tedious work to ensure that all colors match up, every object is proportional, and that page transitions/animations/everything prototyping related - is key to ensuring the cleanest navigation to the eye. Along with this, investment in an illustrator to design custom icons will go a far way in furthering the product.

Keep trying and you will succeed

  • New update works great

They added the specials tab so that I can find things going on in the area. Pretty useful and lives up to what is advertised with the update. As it grows it’s gonna be a main app I use.
  • In beta testing

    Great concept!
