The sound/volume sensitivity settings are not intuitive. There is a window air conditioner and a noise machine in our baby’s room, unless the sensitivity setting are set to low this app always thinks the baby’s awake due to general noises in the room. Beyond that I was not able to find a way to keep the audio streaming on at all times (in which case I could actually use this app as a baby monitor). Eventually the audio streaming just turns off and you’re at the mercy of the app to determine if your kid woke up before your phone will ding.
Example of what it’s like to use Luna: A fire truck drove by with its siren going and the app thought the baby was awake, then the baby was actually crying at one point and the app said “baby is asleep”.
They have to either retool this app, give users better instructions/documentation, or at the very least let me stream the audio at all times.
I wouldn’t recommend this service, and honestly I feel like an idiot for paying for premium (even though the app UX kind of forces you to make that purchase). I will be buying an actual baby monitor today instead.
