Pinned Advert Covers 3/4 Screen

They have pinned a Turo advert, which covers 3/4 of the screen on my feed. I cannot dismiss the advert, despite having no interest in letting anyone else drive my pride & joy.
Some of the software is a bit buggy too, I'm thinking of deleting my account and the app, if they don’t improve

Good app for car Enthusiasts and it’s proven.

I love this app.

OK, getting better but here’s what needs to change..

It’s getting better, prior to CarPlay it was useless but now that’s added, albeit buggy , it is useful now.

Problems however.
1) Awful map. No matter what, i have to bounce between google maps and this just to plan a route as there is no satellite view, almost no company or POI is on there, roads visually don’t appear and hardly any names pop up, forever zooming in and out to try and get them appear then lose my bearings and have to go onto google maps. I’m 25, prime age for technology yet this is the worse map ever.
2) Speaking of maps, no use for ‘satnav’ like navigation. I can’t get in, load up the app, and just go somewhere whilst showing my fellow users ‘Hi! It’s me tom on the road! Cruising’. This goes hand in hand with previous point, but if it was a good map, i would use this over other maps to get to work for example just to see and be shown to other users. This feature would encourage more people to use the app, and current users to use it more.
3) Buggy. Many bugs lie within this, some with car play showing no route but my phone is on a route. But strangely, some with keyboards. I find my text cursor randomly back one and I’m typing in the middle of words or sentences.
4) Add timers and data analytics for saved routes. Controversial but keeps it fun and interesting.

I’m not too much of a social meets guy. I’m more of a ‘get in the car and go for a good drive’ whilst in a bit of NFS:Carbon vibe, want to be going down the road and see a dot on my screen and go ‘ah, thats jimmy!’ And he sees me on his map and we give a wave and go for a drive. This needs way more market share for that to ever happen though.

Please don’t give up Roadstr, continue listening to the people and doubling down on this. Focus less on trying to be a facebook, and more of a driving app. Something people open up, and turns real life into need for speed.

CarPlay errors

New feature just crashes the CarPlay and says app experienced a fatal error

Keeps on doin it

Useless !!

Best social app for car lovers period.

This is by far one of the better, if not the best social media apps for car enthusiasts. High recommended 👍🏼

Great for networking

I love using this app to post up my club driving events. It’s a great way for local enthusiasts to find out about nearby events.

We’re continually building our club reach by using this app.

Car scene

Since I have found this app, I have got my entire car club to join it. We have planned cruises and meets through here. You can share so much with each other and others around the world. This will definitely help bring the car community closer to each other.

Very unique little app

Genuinely the only app I’ve actually got proper use out of. Nav function, while still being developed is genius. Like Facebook for car people without the moaners!

Looking forward to what’s coming in the future

Good idea bad experience

The idea of this app is amazing but it’s so had to actually get on with it. I can’t update my garage, it’s difficult to post especially if you are on 4G. I get so lost trying to keep up with events or messages, some how I lose the post or message because it keeps going back to the home screen. By today’s social media and tech standards it’s absolutely awful.
It’s definitely worth getting/downloading to be connected to other like minded auto enthusiasts but unfortunately it will just feel like an over engineered messaging service.
Hopefully the next updates will make it a better experience.

What I noticed most small organisers just get details from RoadStr and move to whatsapp or Instagram as it’s easier to group people together for car meets etc.

Better than Meta social media

Better than Meta social media as gram has nonsense distractions for auto enthusiast.
