Decent modeling experience and quality but app crashes every time I try to export a model to obj.Developer Response
Thank you for your feedback. The support ticket you submitted has been received and dealt with. This issue will be fixed in subsequent releases.Surprisingly powerful 3D modeler with a few problems
Updated and increased star rating to acknowledge the developer’s response. Also, updated to remove one criticism that seems to have been corrected.
This is a surprisingly easy-to-use 3D model building application that has a lot of hidden power. But it’s not nearly perfect, and I can’t even get to their website (it just won’t load) to ask questions. So, I’m writing a review in hopes the developer will see it and possibly correct the issues with their site and with the app.
1. I’ve shared .obj versions of models I build in Creat3D into Verto Studio and the geometry is all messed up. If I share a .stl from Creat3D to Verto Studio, the geometry is fine (aside from all the normals being flipped, but that’s an easy fix in Verto Studio), so I’m pretty sure it’s something to do with the engine the developer is using to convert to .obj.
2. I appreciate the simple interface, but there should be a few more things, like a HELP file, and/or a contact developer button.
3. I really like the “Properties” option for the cube, including its “Chamfer Radius” parameter, but there should also be a bevel option. This “properties” option should also be available in all of the primitives, even if things like chamfer and bevel might not be applicable to all, the scale options certainly could. (I know that manual entry of scale info is possible with the pull-up menu, but having a consistent set of options for all objects in the scene would be useful.)
I’ll be glad to raise my review if the developer will address any of these issues — most importantly, the ability to communicate with the developer without having to resort to writing reviews on the AppStore.Developer Response
