Having been a part of the app in its earliest version and then since they changed the pay structure: the app isn’t worth the cost for what you get. While I appreciate that someone is striving to create a platform for Orthodox Christians to date; this app isn’t it.
A) They don’t even include all the main Orthodox Jurisdictions within the US, it’s not a huge issue (for me), but it’s a poignant detail clearly missed which seems odd assuming a fellow Orthodox Christian made the app.
B) I understand that it does cost money to maintain apps, however I feel like you’d actually make more money if the cost was lower and you could see more people. You could even do it in tiers: $5= 10 people, $10=15, etc
While appreciate you’re trying to reduce the number of people we swipe on because mentally too many swipes takes dating into a weird place; $18+ dollars a month for limits feels steep.
Also even with paying, our ability to filter is still limited. I kept re-seeing people I’d say no to repeatedly.
C) because of the structure/limitations this app doesn’t feel helpful, it feels like someone taking advantage of a population whose earnestly struggling to find a spouse. Marriage is a sacrament & shouldn’t be used as an opportunity to profit off of other people’s loneliness. You can charge of course, be maybe rethink the cost vs benefit of what you’re actually offering. I just expected better from an Orthodox Christian
