Description of TattApp

This is an IPAD PRO DRAWING APP that REQUIRES an APPLE PENCIL!!! The iPad Pro is currently the only device that can process the fast speeds of the tattoo machine simulation up to 11.7 volts (120cps). 7th gen (and newer) iPad and iPad Air will run slower with a max machine speed of 7.4 volts (60 cps). All other devices will experience lag. DO NOT PURCHASE if you are not using an iPad or iPad Pro AND Apple Pencil!!! Practice tattooing techniques without the mess and risk of permanent damage. Drawing with TattApp simulates needles going in and out of the drawing surface at high speed. Needle direction and depth are simulated by utilizing the Apple Pencil's azimuth and pressure sensitivity features. Choose from different needle configurations including liners, rounds, magnums, and soft-edge magnums. Lay out colors from the Eternal Ink lineup and dip between them to create new colors. Corner shade with various sized magnum needles. Import an image to use as a stencil guide. Use the rinse cup. Slow down or speed up the power supply. There is also a drawing section where you can import a photo, trace out a stencil, and then use the photo as reference to try your skills at emulating the style. TattApp is perfect for the practice of blending, shading, and saturating techniques as well as developing an awareness of hand speed. Stop butchering people and practice with TattApp.

Reviews of TattApp

  • Curious about new updates and ideas

Hey I like this app so far and I honestly wish it had so much more to offer and look forward to. My biggest thing I feel like should be fixed or added ASAP… is the SOUND……. this app could really need it…. I’m also curious about all the ideas and plans that the creators and developers have in the future to add to it I seriously would love if you could somehow post or list somewhere all of it so us users can see it and know whats going on……. So please reply to this and let me know and if you do that I will give you my word and change me 1 star to a 5 star and rewrite a new review post for you….THANK YOU…
  • App developer is constantly making updates

This app will simulate practicing on skin better than any app I’ve ever tried. The developer is keen on using a lot of the offerings that Apple's Xcode APK provides between the hardware and software. For example with the Apple Pencil’s sensitivity and needle angles etc. You can tell this app was made by tattoo artists for tattoo artists.
  • After spending more time with the app… needs way more work.

I gave a better review before I had spent some more time on the app in colour. It isn’t realistic at all when it comes to colour. Black should almost just stay on the top layer, but when using the app, it tattooed directly on top of the black. I spent an hour lining the other day, then shaded for an hour, then went to colour & realized I would have to start with a medium colour, get darker until eventually getting to black, lining, then doing the brightest colours then white. It just isn’t helpful for practicing. Also, the needle sizes are at least double the size they should be. The only way this app would work properly, is if you‘re working on super small pieces or you‘re zooming way into specific parts of larger tattoos. Which isn’t very helpful. This is the closest anyone has come to real tattooing, but still far off. I have faith that you can fix these issues. You‘re doing an awesome job for being one tattoo artist making a complex app like this. I might have missed Settings or something & it could be my fault, but the learning curve isn’t worth it when you still have to figure out how to do things in a completely different order.

Also, I know you turned ratings & comments off because of toxic older artists, but tons of people make tattooing tutorials & siminars on YouTube now. It would be cool to be able to discuss & see what other people think on ALL videos(old ones too). They‘re making the thumbs down count invisible to the public now anyways.
