  • Disappointed

In the current previous installments of Dark Parables there was a custom mode, no cursed objects, and map that transports. I looked back on previous games to check this out. Unfortunately though the plot was good they gave us a dated game that dates back as far as 2015 or before. In fact the format was consistent of the ones released in 2015. I was confused about this. I love the series but this parable was not updated. Blue Tea Games needed to update it and Big Fish should have demanded a game that was consistent with ones released in the previous two years. Poor quality control. That is why I have a potentially great game a two star rating.
  • Blah

Hate these kind of HOPs - please offer an alternative. Also - please make it clear when a collectible is available - on the map is fine. This game has very limited navigation. The art however, is gorgeous.
  • Excellent

Old but excellent! I already wrote a review but as usual mine don’t show up anymore? This is obviously an older game folks but far better than anything new released in this series for a long time! I absolutely loved the story! I usually get a bit bored in bonus chapters but I enjoyed even that story! Graphics were outdated but still fine, letters to read everywhere that tell the story chronologically and you find objects that open side parables that are directly related to the story and ancestry of the characters in the game. I’ll admit, I was not happy to see this installment after a week of nothing but I tried it and I loved it! I used to enjoy all the games in the parable series until this last year or so. If I recall, blue tea games was not involved in some of the newer releases in this series and only done by EIPIX. Maybe that’s why I didn’t like them. I’m not an EIPIX fan. So try it out and just know it’s a bit older. Oh, the map doesn’t teleport but the hint button will take you exact where needed! It teleports. Just FYI...
  • Horrible!

This game is crap! Very outdated. Big Fish, you need to step up on your game and start giving us better than this. It’s not fair to make us wait forever for a game and then give us stuff like this. Come on! Get it together already! 0 stars if I could.
  • Not your best

The graphics are beautiful as always. This is way below what I am used to when playing the dark parables series. There is no transportation between scenes. There’s no customized role-play. Looks like you’re trying to put it out before it’s tweaked...seems very half assed.
  • A good installment but...

I cannot fathom how they go from some of the abilities they had in previous installments like using the map to move around quicker to this travesty. They took two steps back with this once therefore I took two stars from them.
  • I used to like this series...what happened?

I can’t continue past the free demo. No, option to customize.
    I detest old games...total confusion....no storyline
I detest fragmented HOA. Give me another choice like match 3.
I detest not having a map that’s useless. Give me a map I can teleport.

Won’t be buying this demo...done with this game...deleted buried forever.
  • Total Disappointment!

After a long wait for a new game and this is what we get. No Thanks - Despise this series - the whole trial is a mess, character voices cut out, had to restart. Not to mention - No teleporting map - Why include one at all. Definitely will NOT be purchasing this one.
Hope our next release is a Good one, and not so antiquated.
Fellow gamers, I cannot find anything good to say about this.

  • Rushed to market

I played the short trial and I don’t think I’ll buy. This game was a huge disappointment. I had high hopes for another Blue Tea game updated by EIPIX, but I’m struggling to figure out what EIPIX did. Added some cut scenes where the characters have moving lips and decent voiceovers, perhaps?

    What EIPIX DIDN’T do:

    - update the map so that it teleports
    - enable customizable difficulty
    - QA the hint system, e.g., sometimes the map doesn’t tell you where actions are available
    - diversify the HOPs. All 3 in the trial consisted of “find the pieces of the large items.”
    - explain the collectibles fully in the tutorial (there are character figures that enable parables in addition to the 20 morphing “Cursed Objects” that allegedly speed up the hint meter)
    - anything else??

The one minigame was brief and WOULD have been simplistic but for a game error in the item you should pick vs. the item described in the corresponding parable. I was irritated that I had to check the strategy guide to overcome this. I don’t want to spoil by specifying, but if it happens to you, know you’re not alone.

I think EIPIX and Big Fish cut corners to get this game out, since it’s been a long time since the last one. A pity.

If I buy because I get bored, I will update this review. For now, a 2.5 rounded down because I have no good reason to round up.
  • Really!

After almost two weeks without a new game, and this is what we get? This is a very dated Blue Tea game with no customization, the map, such as it is, does not teleport, and the HOGs are all fragmented objects. YUCK! This might have been passable two years ago, but not now. Come on BF, you can do better than this.
