Have been using search for sites for quite a while with paid version, we have tried to use it to plan our summer and winter touring, the app itself in great but the real issue is advertised prices.
You can not use it to plan a decent tour, when you come to book with the owner of the site you have found on the app , in nearly all cases the price is much higher than advertised and is not monitored by Search for Sites in any way. Some sites are more than double what search for sites say they are.
This is not good. You can not trust search for sites to have honest and accurate pricing information because they do not control it and the site owner can do what ever they want with the impunity of saying they don’t own search for sites.

Great App
Had the App for a couple of years now and used it regularly in England, Scotland and France. Really helpful App for travellers like us who don’t like to book to far ahead but would rather find somewhere when we’re driving through an area we find attractive. Found some awesome wild sites as well as commercial sites.

Trial is over, but no way in the app or App Store to subscribe!
Top app. Took us around Europe
We had this recommended to us by a mate with a camper and it has proved invaluable. This app is a must if you like a bit of a European jaunt or just a Brit stop. We drove through France, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland and didn’t book anywhere in advance, we just used the app to find our next stop. It is so easy to use, the map on the app is highly detailed and then the links to your maps apps takes you straight there.

Invaluable when touring
I’m more than happy to pay for this app. I get really fed up with so called ‘free’ apps that bombard you with nuisance advertisements.
Since using it I have stayed on sites I wouldn’t have even known about in the past, despite being a motorhomer for over 20 years. I find the site reviews very helpful when route planning. They take most of the risk out of using less orthodox sites. I’ve had one or two bad experiences using private sites over the years, some of which I’ve taken one look and driven away. This app saves you all that trouble so thank you to the administrators and to the people who have taken the trouble to leave reviews.

Please do something about the sync update
I use this app a lot. I also travel a lot, which means I often get forced to update the app - which takes ages and loads of data. If you are on a mobile network this costs money.
PLEASE: find a way to optimise the updates. It can’t be difficult to only the app data for a subset of the universe. Do I really to use my mobile data to get updates to locations 100’s of miles away?

Good (pre tested)
I am about to go on my first solo trip to North Wales and was worried about finding somewhere to stop. This app gave me confidence that if something good doesn’t pop up, then I have some great options.
The app takes a couple of minutes to work out and if I paid a lot for it that might loose it a star. But as a free app it’s amazing.
Thank you to the developer and especially to all who have commented on sites - that really is the most valuable aspect.

Amazingly useful and highly recommend.
Had this App since 2019 and I’ve planned all my trip locations and park ups then save them in the Apps MY LISTS as tours. Norfolk, Scotland NC500, Isle of Skye and Arron, lake Windermere, Wales top to bottom, south west coast, Isle of Wight ++++ and l never pre book sites. Just towards to the end of each day I look up on the App for sites and off road park ups nearest to my location read the reviews and after 20,000+ miles touring around the UK I’ve always found a place to park up, mostly off grid and wild. I can honestly say when ever I stop and chat with other campers and always recommend this App and even show them how it works. I’ve also left honest reviews and pictures to this App to help others. Simple this App will pay for its self as it saves you from driving around in circles looking for places to stop. Just put the location into your SatNav and relax… Highly recommended.

Everything in one place - how can you go wrong?
This is our go to app for finding sites. With the major clubs on as well non affiliated sites it gives us everything we need in one place. We find that the details and prices can sometimes be a bit out of date - but that is simply reliant on everyone providing feedback each time they find outdated information.

This app will pay for itself
This app pays for itself and is a must for motorhomes users. We have been using this app for a couple of years and have to says it’s brilliant, finding free and low cost stopovers with ease, even used it to find CS & CL sites. It’s easy to use, update or add new sites. The ability to use your preferred sat nav directly from it makes finding the chosen site a breeze. There is lots of site information from contact details to website, costs, photos etc. for lots of the sites which can be updated to help others. I downloaded it for a trial and within the week found a quiet overnight stop for free.
