  • Love the app but one request

Is there any hope to have the OCR determine the board range without having to zoom if the screenshot is super clear?
  • Analyze chess boards, fast

This app saves so much time! Great, accurate and fast analysis. Plus you can just take a photo of the board from a book and have it ready.

  • Excellent app for chess players

I have been looking for an app for a while to scan paper puzzles. This app comes very close. When u scan it gets most of the positions correct except for some reason queen (color) and Bishop. Minor thing! Thanks for the app.

Update: 11/7. Not sure what has changed. Now the scanning is totally off. Not off by one or two pieces but off by most of the pieces. Something got really messed up in updates. I have sent errors through app. Thanks

Update 12/24: recognition is much better again. Thanks Future feature suggestion: after scanning a position if there is an option to play against computer. Basically we are reading a book (silman’s) and it gives challenging end games. We want to try out all the positions against computer. Thanks and happy holidays

Hi. Thank you so much for your feedback. You can report bad recognition using the top right button in Edit mode. This will help us to make scan feature even better.

    Great app
I hope you make a version for IPad
    Thanks
  • Original and Ubiquitous

I would only ask for a connection windows
  • Very nice

The Scan function alone would make this app a must-have. The other features are more than icing.
    Thanks!
  • Won’t scan diagrams on computer

Won’t scan diagrams on computer just keeps thinking.
  • Ok but limited

Scan from camera often has a mistake or two but no big deal. What’s most lacking is the ability to use the scans as tactics problems ie seeing if you can work out the best move and have the software tell you if you were correct or not without going into analysis mode.

    Developer Response

Hi, thanks for an interesting suggestion. To have the app tell you if your moves are correct or not, the puzzles must originally be in the app. And we'll certainly discuss the adding of chess puzzles into the app for our future updates.
