  • Not Good (Won’t Recommend)

So at the beginning I got everything set up, and all was well. However, later I couldn’t connect with the controller. It was okay though since you can fly with the app. More time passes. Then it refused to takeoff. Another day I tried again and it failed again. Then, the next day I tried one last time, and it failed.

Don’t buy although for some people it may be good. I’d recommend the DJI Mini SE or a Tello.

  • Straight trash

This app is so bad it even messes with my drone it has the right idea but my drone freaks out when I use it
  • Can’t get camera to work

I have tried to get camera to work and connect but no luck
  • Drone poopoo

My drone got stuck in a tall tree because it started bugging and kept flying left into a tree
  • Junk

Save your money!! This is total cheap crap!!
  • Pretty good

This works for me. For those of you who can’t connect with the drone, you have to connect it to a different WiFi network.
  • Mostly Operates as Described.

    EDITED*
This is an edited review—upgraded to 4 stars. And I have never given 5 stars. There just has never been a perfect app in my experience.

There is only one thing wrong with this app as far as I can tell—several relevant instructions are missing. The creator needs to ask for help writing an instruction manual. Being experienced in technical writing, I offer my services.

There’s still a couple of important elements missing in my learning of how to operate the VIVITAR, but one main point was remedied by another user—connecting your smart phone’s WiFi to receive the drone’s video feed. In your smart phone’s WiFi settings, treat the drones video feed like any other WiFi connection.

I haven’t seen that mentioned in the manufacturer’s included manual. Maybe there’s a page missing, I don’t know, but that’s a pretty significant miss.

Two issues I have re occurring:
    1) The GPS mode seems to fail intermittently. Can’t get the back lights to go blue when they are supposed to. This may be due to my home’s location. We have poor cell phone connection without our house’s WiFi connection which is via satellite. Not knowing how the GPS transmits or receives, I can’t triage the issue. Also, I have no antenna rating gear.
*2) I often cannot get the camera to work. Seeing the live action through the monitor is the main reason I bought this unit. Have owned it for one year and have only flown it 4 times. I would enjoy inspecting the wood stove’s chimney regularly.

  • Unable to see

Unable to see photos and video
that were recorded . The tab for retrieving
    Files doesn’t work.
  • Bad HD

I Just got the drone and the camera quality was bad and there were words in China
  • Worthless frustration

Obviously not intended for U.S. market. Scant instructions, never could get video after several hours of trying. Complete failure.
