Horrible
I had the moves App 4 years ago and it was offered to me from my job who was doing a research on weight loss. At that time I did like the App. It miscalculates about 20%-25% but I like the feature where it differentiates between walking steps and running steps. However, with the last updates... I ran for 14 minutes and the App did not calculate that at ALL! Before you could enter the places where frequented in the App, now you cannot enter the establishments at all, instead it will give you a range of addresses of where your possible location might be.. The App. was half-way decent now it’s CRAP!!!Show lesskmf03
Improving
I wrote an earlier review and stated the program did not work. I am happy to say now it is working on a limited basis and looks similar to the original Moves. There still is much work to be done with functionality (e.g. editing locations) which hopefully will be coming soon.MWL in NYC

Not working like the original Moves
Took the app off my phone today. Definitely not the same as the old recently removed Moves. Had this app on my phone for 3 days and it never showed where I went, time and other things like the original Moves would show. All it gave me within 3 days is the day I viewed it (today) and how many steps I took on this day. What about yesterday and the day before that?? One bubble showed only of how many steps I took today. Couldn’t add a landmark of where I went like home or work or any other place.
I can use my Fitbit for steps I’ve taken for the day and even that app shows all the prior days steps.
The old Moves was awesome to see where you went for the day. If I drove or took transportation or walked. It was even better in showing how many hrs I was at work, what time I arrived and left.

Cannot thank you enough for bring back moves! Well original Moves app was killed my Facebook. I am happy with MovesX which meets my needs to know approximately when was I at which location. Seems my battery is going crazy though. Hope to know a fix for the battery life. Thanks!meteorcube
Good start to a Moves replacement
I am thankful for a good start to a Moves replacement. I was able to do the import just before Moves shut down. However, lots of basic things needed. The option for imperial unites (miles). A way to back up your database. Moves was famous for corrupting its database, but they had an effective was to restore it. They either need their own server backup, or a backup to iCloud. The ability to edit your locations, change mode of transportation etc. Lastly, battery life seems pretty terrible. It has been sucking up a LOT of batter life. Granted, Moves was pretty bad for that originally, but they fixed that a good time ago. The UI is pretty well nailed, it really does look like the old Moves. Let’s hope it keeps getting better.Show lesscyclista

Great app. I was lost when I heard they were no longer offering it. So glad to have this. Thank you. Can’t seem to download statistics from original moves. Help. Would like to edit type of exercise, locations, and imperial instead of metric. Thank you.janeensweet

I was relieved to realize there was a new version of Moves once the old one was stopping. I am looking forward to an update that allows for modifying the location name and editing the type of transportation.Yeldarb42

Just won't load or work. Moves had worked perfectly forever. Prolly just a hackcrypterman
Can’t restore from the original moves!
It doesn’t work whatsoever and I followed the steps. Someone here said that it didn’t work at first but then worked after how did he do that?!AhmedWaliiD
