  • Careful

Be careful. Once you subscribe there is no going back. Emailed Apple numerous times over heard back. Chose the wrong option and now only option is to start a new account and pay again.

Hello, We're sorry you are disappointed with Le Baby and Apple. We do not currently offer a subscription but a one-time payment, allowing you to unlock unlimited entries forever while only being charged once. Our monthly reports indicate that a few Le Baby users are successfully refunded from their purchase, so the refund process seems to work fine. If you haven't received any news from Apple, it's possible the issue might be with the email address you're using to contact them. We sincerely hope you'll get your money back soon, Le Baby team
  • Highly recommend to new (or already experienced) parents!

My husband and I just had our first baby and were pretty overwhelmed at how many things we needed to keep track of after bringing baby home from the hospital. We started with tracking on actual paper but quickly realized there had to be an app for this to make it easier.

We love how simple this app makes tracking things like wet and dirty diapers, his temperature, vitamin D drops, how much he’s eating, and so much more. This apps design is beautiful and simple, making it easy to quickly put information in.

Please give this app a try - from one parent to another, an easy to comprehend tracking app for my exhausted brain is so wonderful and I’m thankful I found it!

  • Generally great

The apps user interface is clean and it’s generally very easy to use. The sharing function is very useful and also very easy. The ability to edit entries after the fact and adjust them is great. I only noticed two areas for improvement: firstly it’s not entirely clear upfront that all users will need to purchase a full membership in order to share all entries. This feels a little bit misleading because it feels like one membership will allow all family members to share, but in fact, we had to purchase two memberships. That should be clearer from the start. The other thing that could be improved is printable reports. It would be great to include a functionality where users could print detailed reports to share with their pediatricians. There are printing capabilities currently in the app, but they are fairly limited and don’t provide a lot of detail.

Hello, thank you very much for your kind comments about Le Baby! Regarding the need for all journal participants to make a purchase: you have the choice to use the in app purchase compatible with Family Sharing, Apple's solution for members of a family to share purchases and subscriptions. But you might have experienced a problem for the purchase to be accessible to every member of your Family Sharing group; we've seen this happening from time to time, and it can take a few days to kick in. This process is in Apple's hands and there's not much we can do. If you've set up Family Sharing and made the second purchase not too long ago, you should ask for a refund. We can go through this in more details if you wish to: contact us using the "send feedback" link in the journal's settings. Your suggestion of a pdf export for doctors is on our list, but we haven't started working on it. It would help us a lot if you could let us know, in broad strokes, what informations doctors should be able to get from this pdf. Again, thank you for taking the time to write your thoughts!
  • Synching/sharing used to work, stopped, no response

We loved the simplicity and ease of Le Baby, so we purchased the more expensive version to ensure that my husband and I could check on bottles, diapers, and times without always having to ask each other. Even though we had paid and purchase sharing was turned on for both of our phones, the developer had to (and did so kindly) share a promotional link to my husbands account so he wouldn’t also have to pay since we were supposed to be able to share. A few days ago, our journals stopped synching information and the quick buttons for diapers and bottles disappeared from the journal page. So now my husband and I cannot view data inputted by the other person. Using an app to record all this information is not useful if your spouse can’t see what you’ve entered, plus we paid for that feature. I reached out to the developer through the contact button and through e-mail and haven’t gotten a response yet. Our IOS is updated (as suggested on a review response). I truly hope this can be remedied easily and quickly.

Hello, we’re sorry we’ve left you without answer when you reached out via email. We found no trace of your message at the time, even in our spam folder, and can only guess a problem occurred between our respective mailboxes. We took some time to look into the problems you described in your review, and waited to see if other customers could be facing similar issues. For now, it hasn’t been the case. Journal sharing, as well as Purchase sharing, relies on technical solutions provided by Apple to developers: iCloud and Family Sharing. For Le Baby customers, this guarantees privacy of their data and purchase decisions. This also means that these features’ reliability is in Apple’s hands. Purchase sharing can take some time to flow between Apple accounts, as you experienced. We found out in his can happen when the group is set up after making the purchase. Nothing in Apple’s documentation warns developers about this situation that we discovered through support exchanges with affected customers. We’re actively working on a solution that will replace Family Sharing and offer a better experience for our customers. Syncing usually stops working when there is no more available space in customers iCloud storage. Deleting a few files is what it takes to solve the issue, as journal data is very lightweight. The ability to add new entries (and the presence of quick action buttons for sleep and bottle entries at the top of the journal) for Apple accounts owners who benefit from others’ purchase can be affected if the Family Sharing group is edited, or the Apple account itself disrupted. The app itself wasn’t modified around the time your problem. We’re very sorry Le Baby wasn’t functioning for you as it should have, and for the lack of answer from our part.
  • This is the app all new parents need

I went looking after bringing our first baby home from the hospital and this wasn’t on the top downloaded list but I’m so glad my wife found it from a Google search!

    It’s so easy to use.

The UI is amazing! A master class example of modern UI requiring minimal clicking and all of the features I would want.

Sharing with a spouse made easy, so we always know when she last ate or was changed even if the other is not around at the moment.

  • Shared use

Wife paid to have me able to do unlimited entries with her, still has not synced to my app and we’ve had it paid over a week. Pretty disappointing when the early days are when tracking these things are so important.

    Developer Response

Hello, purchase sharing is entirely managed by Apple through your App Store accounts of Family Sharing participants. The issue you have encountered has affected others and seems to have been fixed by Apple with iOS 17.3. Please contact us through the app (the contact link is in your baby journal settings screen) so we can find a solution to let you add entries.
  • A great app but needs work. More customization!

The developer has done an excellent job simplifying and streamlining the app. However, there's room for improvement, such as adding a timed feature for diaper changes and incorporating a timed pump log. Additionally, more customization options beyond the feeding and nighttime buttons at the top would enhance the app's perfection.

  • Simple and easy!

App has been great to use so far for my partner and I. Features are easy to use and navigate. I wish there was a feature to track breast pumping times as well! Then, I would say it would have everything I need covered.

    Developer Response

Breast pumping just moved up one notch in the todo list! Thank you for letting us know, and for taking the time to leave a review. (if you can send an email describing how you’d want breast tracking to work for you, it would help us a lot, thank you)
  • Easy to use and clean

Very easy to use, simple, excellent UI, etc. Almost immediately, the app has been a must use and daily requirement. My wife and I use it to reference with the PD, check in on what’s on the horizon and etc. more importantly, there isn’t noise and it’s easy to get to what I want in a tap or two. No other app has that interface for me.
Recommendations: I would love to add a quantity or amount of poop/pee for diapers (like tap multiple times for more or less) and if there was an option to track time of pumping- so my wife can match the time spent nursing easily.

  • Developer response and communication

I purchased the 9.99 version to share with others. I had issues when shared with spouse but the developer was quick to respond and solve the issue. He replied to my questions quickly and even reached out to make sure my issue was resolved. Once the problem was resolved the app has worked flawlessly. We love the app and how it helps us track baby stuff.

    Developer Response

Your expectation is right: our $9.99 purchase allows parents to share the possibility to add data to the baby journal, and not only view it. It’s compatible with Apple’s Family Sharing program which allows for up to 6 family members to share purchases on the App Store. Steps to set up Family Sharing are described here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201088 If you’ve just set up Family Sharing, purchases sometimes take longer than it should to propagate to all linked AppleID accounts, but this process is happening on Apple’s end, which we have no control over. We’ll be more than happy to assist you if you want to: contact us using the « send feedback » link in the journal settings.
