Description of Vulture Card

Explore the town and challenge the villagers to the legendary Vulture Card game. This strategic duel consists of playing 2 consecutive rounds with 2 different hands, one player will get the Rooster hand and the other will play with the Vulture hand. The game is starts with each player holding five cards, four of which are Owls and the last being either a Rooster or a Vulture. After the first match the hands are switched. The players choose one card from their hand each turn and place them on the table to make them duel. The Rooster wins against the Owl but is weak against the Vulture. The Owl defeats the Vulture but it's neutral against other Owls. When someone plays the Rooster or the Vulture card, the round is over and the hands are switched. The one on the Rooster side is more likely to win, since the opposing side only has one card that can defeat it. The Vulture side has only one chance to win: playing the Vulture card when the opponent plays the Rooster.

Reviews of Vulture Card

  • Pretty but unfinished

The game is aesthetically pleasing, but there's not a lot there. It feels like the result of a game jam that was published as is, instead of getting the polish it deserved. As it stands, it doesn't have much to offer.

You get thrown into the game with absolutely no instructions on how the game work, so if you downloaded it a long time ago to try it out later like I did, you'll be forced to come to the App store page if you want to figure out the rules instead of going into a card game without any idea of how it works.

There are no settings, no nothing, you're in a tiny park surrounded by nothingness without bounds with a few npcs that only serve as buttons to start a battle,
You can play against them by betting money, but the gameplay is a bit unbalanced and rather repetitive. There's not a lot of room for strategy either.

You get the money, but it seems you can't even use it for anything, so after a couple of challenges you soon wonder what's even the point.

It's like they had plans for this game, but gave up on them for some reason and instead of streamlining it, they just decided to ship it as is and leave you with a weird aftertaste. Maybe one day this game will get an update that fixes those things, but as it stands, don’t expect much from it.
  • It’s pretty good

The card game itself is pretty hard and fun. The game would feel much better if there was a type of reward for getting coins. As of this point, the game feels a bit empty and hallow. However, the base and art style are pretty. It has potential.
  • No bad but.

    Need more developed and stuff.
