Leave a Review Strong's Concordance
Annoying unrelenting Ads prominent feature
You have got nerve to adhere to masterfully to your advertisement agenda with it continued upstaging it’s virtually impossible to focus and I’d like to use some very harsh language to enforce my opinion but I won’t because it’s not being corrected then it’s your sole intention to annoy and about tdistract I guess you got a full house and you’re all in but as for me I’m beginning to form an opinion about technology your editor might wanna check “God will make Adam a help meet” not a help mate when people are careless they don’t care about their reader I read at the very end of the book of revelation about adding or subtracting words from the Bible you’re offending your constituents and I take it personally when I’m in no mood to waste time in the world as a non Christian my patience is thin with wasting my time and talent no sane person needs to write a review when you’re outfit is allowing this garbage if God really created the light and the darkness you know you can stick this ad grabbing app in the latter where your editor and your money grubbing advertising belongsShow lessIncorrect Word Numbers and Base/Root Words
I love to dive into the Greek and Hebrew words when I study the Bible. In particular I love to look at the specific Greek word used in the New Testament and find its root or base word.
Overall the electronic Strongs available here and attached to some paid Greek and Hebrew language Bible apps is good but has some errors.
So far I have found two with the latest one being in the word for Children (Τeknon - Tέκνον) found in Matthew 10:24. This electronic Strongs has the root as being number G5043 (Timoria - Τιμωρία) which means punishment! They say the root word is Timoria which according to this Strongs app means "a child that is produced". When you click on Timoria you get the word punishment.
It's easy for me to find the Greek and Hebrew because I read both; but, for someone who doesn't, and who has no idea about two and three letter stems in words this could cause problems.Show lessNail Twister
I give five stars to the ease of finding passages with the Strong # embedded into the text. Click on the # and the definition comes up, close the definition and the text remains so one can continue reading or search for another passage. But to search for a specific word in a book only rates one star at best. One cannot search individual books of the Bible, but can search groups of books, such as gospels or Paul’s epistles. Two problems. 1. The search will bring up words within words. Search for “age” and message, marriage, bondage, advantage, etc. will be highlighted. 2. If one chooses one verse to find the definition of the word being searched for, and taps on that word in that verse, you are taken to another page where the definition can be accessed. But there’s no way to return to the word search to check definitions in other verses. Also, the definitions of words are often confusing and difficult to understand. Apparently, the definitions used are from the original Strong’s Concordance. It’s unfortunate that the newer definitions used in the latest Strong’s concordance, which is called the Strongest Strong’s, were not used instead of the original. They are much clearer and easier to understand.Show less
