Amazing, but one small flaw.

I absolutely love this app but their is one small problem. You need a certain number of coins to unlock new songs, but the only way you can get them is playing and watching videos. I wish that it had the option to buy coins as well! Although I enjoy that they aren’t trying to take your money, watching videos to get coins or having to play 30 rounds of songs to get a new song is very tedious and I wish I could simply buy coins to speed up that process.

I would recommend this game a lot! The time and effort put into this amazing mobile game is tremendous! It is so fun and always challenging, you get to play online and vs others which is another amazing detail added in this game. I have been playing for so long now and think this game deserves more attention than it has. I have absolutely no problems with this game! I highly recommend you play it because they update it every now and then which means you get to play new song! 10/10

Good game, poor machenics

The game is a typical easy music rhythm game and is fun to pass the time. I do love the large selection of music and it’s easy to unlock the songs you want. The competitive aspect is nice too.
My problem is that there is an issue where the app doesn’t detect when I am hitting 2 notes at the same time. There is only 4 lines of notes and they are fairly large but the game most of the time does not detect when I hit 2 notes at the same time which is an often used mechanic in rhythm games. No this isn’t user error I’ve played many rhythm games religiously since 2014 and I can play expert level on all of them and most have 8-9 rows of notes to press. Also not an error on my phones part cause as I’ve said I play other rhythm games that use this mechanic and they work just fine. This is something that absolutely needs to be fixed because you have to watch an ad EVERY time you mess up to continue playing the song, this seriously makes not want to play.

Good

I really like it, but I think if there was less ads or a way to pay for no ads it would improve the game a lot. There’s some optional ones and forced ones and I’d like not to have to watch a 5-30 second ad every time I finish a song. Other than that the game is perfect! I recommend.

Best game of its type

This game unlike other ones does not require micro transactions for enjoyment. They have a huge range of piano pieces for you to enjoy. You build up special ‘coins’ and with these coins you can buy other songs you may enjoy- Fade by Alan Walker, Unravel, Crossing field etc. You can get these coins just by playing the game or you can get a substantial amount by watching a short advert, which seems very fair to me. Would definitely recommend.

Commercials

The app is good but I think that the long keys could be the small ones and also when you die you get a commercial. At the end when you finish you have the option to get more coins, and sometimes you don’t want any, but you get a commercial anyway but no reward. So I think that dream piano should have this free, no sign up thing were every time you get a commercial you get 100 coins. And that idea will get a lot of people to download the game. I mean isn’t that what the people made the game for, getting people to download it ?

Unenjoyable and too many ads!

It’s a good game, but I hate the fact that when you miss one note, It makes you restart and you get *two* pop-ups asking if you want to get a new try by watching an ad. It’s very infuriating for me personally. Maybe at the end of each song it could give you a score with how many misses you got along with a rank?

Another thing that really bothers me, when it tells you the amount of coins you got out of a song after you play it, it asks you if you want to double it for, of course, an ad. I always press the X but it still gives me an ad with nothing in return. It’s like saying, “Hey, if you pay 10 bucks you can get a slushie plus a free one!” And if you turn the offer down you would still have to pay the 10 bucks.

I don’t know if it’s just my device being weird, but whenever an add comes up, I can never press the X button. It’s especially annoying when an ad comes up right when I start up the app.

I hope this was a helpful review.

Fun Game

Ok, game-wise, this game is pretty good. It’s just a fun rhythm game for when you’re on the go, and there’s a very good selection of songs. However, my problem is, as I’m guessing many of the other reviewers have pointed out, the ads. I’m usually not bothered by ads, you complete a level an ad plays, I’d prefer it not to happen, but I don’t really care. But the thing is, this is a rhythm game. One of the things about rhythm games is that you’re going to mess up a lot, you’re going to have to invest some kind of practice to be able to complete a song. But when you get an ad every time you die, it’s incredibly annoying.

Where would I place an ad? When you give up on the song and go to select another song. And if you exit the app in an attempt to avoid this, you get an ad on start-up regardless. That’s all you need to do. People are going to watch those ads you get where you have an opportunity to revive yourself. They’re going to watch those ads where you get free points and energy. You already have plenty of ads that people are going to click, so there’s no point. I get it, you’re greedy, that’s most mobile game companies. But seriously, come on.
