Try 'Copy Me That' Recipe organizer
Guys, this app is no longer properly supported. They occasionally throw out an old developer response but it's pretty obvious nobody’s minding the store. ‘Copy Me That' is not local to your device, meaning your data is stored in the cloud, but it is fully functional. It took me weeks to get my saved recipes from this app into it but it was worth it. I did pay a one time fee for the premium version but again it was worth it. Like many of you I tried to send support tickets and posted in reviews the issues I was encountering but not much was done. Sometimes as IOS has new revisions, developers just can't keep up or can't make the functions of their apps work in the new environment. Some just pull down their apps while others try to trim their apps to work under the new system. Perhaps that is what happened here. We will never know but I need a recipe app that performs well and this is no longer it. ================================================== It's gone backwards once again. If you manage to save a recipe, instead of being able to add categories right away, now you have to find it. How is this progress? This is not going to fly. 'Copy Me That' may only be able to be accessed online through it's app but it's a fully functional recipe saver.Show lessSuch a Good App!
I’ve searched for an app like this and was so pleased when I found it that I paid to support the developers (I don’t do this as often as I should, but this one got me to cough up some dough). I downloaded it a few years ago, there were some bumps in the road when features I disliked were added. In a recent update however, the user experience went through the roof! Outstanding app! I recommend it to friends and family regularly. I also cook recipes that are in Spanish, grab the link from a site and the app saves them perfectly without a blip! I haven’t tried other languages, but I’m sure it will be able to save whatever you punch in. NYT recipes have synced just fine with it as well! (I have a subscription for NYT Cooking, it might be necessary to save their recipes) Great way to keep my favorites all in one place. Rave rave rave!Show lessUnhappy with “Streamlined” Changes
I’ve been using RecipeBox for a few years now as part of my daily routine. I loved all of the amazing features they used to have on the app. They recently decided to “streamline” it, which I’m not entirely sure why because it sounds like other people were happy with the old features as well. They got rid of the calendar food scheduling, they made “lists” on the same page as the grocery shopping page? Honestly I can’t even tell you because it’s so confusing. I’ve hearted things before to put it on my list, and then it’ll just disappear. I hate this streamline so much, I really wish they would listen to their users and go back to the way things were. I love to be organized, have calendars, have separate tabs for different things, etc. I hate how this was streamlined. I also don’t like that we no longer have the “stay on” button for the screen, because my screen does not automatically stay on so I literally have to go into my settings each time I use the app and manually keep it at “keep on” just to look at a recipe. Please listen to your users! You’d have a 5 star rating!Show lessDeveloper Response
Hi there, Thank you for your review! Would you mind emailing us at feedback@recipebox.com with more details about the bugs you're seeing? I'd like to investigate and see what's going on. "Focus Mode" is now baked into the app without explicitly needing to turn it on. Anytime you're on a recipe detail the screen should stay on. We'll look forward to more details on the bugs and will have some fixes out soon. Thanks, Andrew Co-founder of RecipeBox
