Really disappointed

The app has always been a bit clunky but I used it for personal devotions on my phone. I bought a lot of songs. In the latest update you can no longer see the lyrics on your phone they are only for projection etc. it’s now useless to me. I would like to see the developer to either 1. Put back the lyrics (best option), 2. Refund every song I have bought. Really disappointed.

They ditched me

Was use if it for a year or more. I bought at least a hundred songs. I got a new iPad and let the app laps for more than a year. When I went back to start up again, it doesn’t recognize my email address. Money very poorly spent.

SO Close

This app has SO much potential, but its slowness and awkwardness to navigate are making me nervous about committing for more than a month of test-driving. It just seems harder to use than it should, despite some facets of usage which are slick and straightforward.(One particular example is that I’ve selected two songs to play around with. But now I seem completely unable to get back to the larger archive to search for more. I simply see the two I’ve already selected over and over again. This is a pretty basic thing which should be pretty simple. Not so much.)

I really want to like this, as I think it could be really useful. I’m just not sure after my initial few days of playing around.

Very happy with

I pastor a small church.
One Sunday i play the guitar and we sing older hymns.
The next Sunday we use “I Sing Worship” and keep things fresh and high quality.
Ive used “i Sing Worship” for a few years and have found it reliable and very user friendly.

Cheated by this app

I have the old version and purchased many songs that accumulated in price. On one device I updated the app and the old songs will not transfer to it. I bought a new song and the song won’t play on the old app version. Am I now ripped off? What if you buy buy a list of songs and they eventually update the app will you lose yours? Or be with only the songs you had not allowed to buy more? Use caution with this app I’m not happy

Great for small church setting, covid 19 lockdown

Great app, excellent for small church setting, or when your musicians aren't available. Allows me to lead worship without musicians. Especially during Covid 19 lockdown online services. Simple transpose slider to change Key by creating an arrangement, also gives you the option to have chords on screen to play along with. Have used this in our church services for past year or so, takes a little getting used to the song arrangements when leading worship and want to go back into chorus or verses as some don't flow as well as others but if you run through and learn the songs then you'll know what you can and can't do with the arrangement.

Flawed: Songs in poorly chosen keys, bad Transpose range & awful new look!

LOOKS
New App aesthetic is a step back in time, and not in a retro way. It looks like Windows 10 on an iOS device and this is closer to windows 3.1. It’s clean, but the lyrics in the song parts organiser are not visible at a distance anymore. Font size, low contrast and opacity have made their presence no longer useful. This was previously very helpful.
(Thank God it doesn’t use the app store’s update feature so you can keep the older app!)

FUNCTIONALITY
The playlist function is a name change from Events.
The apps major flaw remains. The keys the tracks are provided in are in most cases nowhere near the original artist recording key and the transpose function won’t let you get into those keys in either direction. Whatever the developers thesis for this, they should:
1. make the key clearly visible in the store
2. show the range of keys available/limitations

I would love this app to be great but the truth is I’ve wasted more money than I care to admit supporting this app. The transpose option maybe constrained to prevent the track from sounding poor but please start with the original key as a minimum option!!! This is just basic missing functionality and at £3 / song ....I’ve given it a star because I should’ve known better.

The download song feature is now consistently slower than in the previous app version - this is a consistent observation but not a major gripe.

PRACTICAL USES
I originally started using this product having been introduced to it at a Spring Harvest vendors booth over a decade ago. I’d over invested in songs by the time I returned from the festival. I was underwhelmed but managed to put this to use leading worship in mid week settings. The one one-person worship leading setting was undermined by the key options. I’ve wishfully returned periodically to the software only to repeat my disappointment. The library of available songs has not expanded much in all this time.

I ended up abandoning the tracks to just using as a VIRTUAL PROJECTIONISTS and chord sheet. Limited to the available songs as there is no way to create your own content.

I’ve been a managing and consulting with worship teams for 20 years and I want to be clear I have a good overview of what is possible and I’m not looking for pro level gear. However, this just doesn’t achieve what it claims to, when push comes to shove. Where the previous version could work from a home group setting up to Small Alpha course, the latest version is now a prayer that the older version remains viable while I implore the developer to redress the transpose function and record in decent keys. (This seems to be happening?)

SUMMARY
APP redesign has taken this from a overly generous 3⭐️to a 1⭐️ product. This could be the sweetest thing but sadly a bitter pill.

Andy Browning

This app is so helpful, simple to use and beautifully put together. Highly recommended!

New songs

I just wish there were more songs. I often think of a song and it is not on here.

Will not play through Audio Airplay

We use this exclusively through Airplay Audio Speaker connection. Just like other apps, YouTube, etc. This no longer works and has me in a pickle. Please fix bug ASAP. thank you.

Response from developer

Hi. AirPlay should work natively with the latest version often app. Could you please contact us support@isingworship.com giving us details so we can work through this with you? Many thanks.
