  • Unique Puzzle with Great Asthetic (Must Read)

I played this game expecting a subpar puzzle game, but instead I found a great puzzle themed around my favorite things!!!

When you play Bomb Academy you feel like an agent, working your path through all the wires, panels, and hazards.
The enjoyment comes with the clock, adding pressure to the situation.

This game deserves my $2.99 because I feel it has elevated itself from other mediocre puzzles. It even gave me a chance to play it before I had to pay!

If you are wondering whether you will enjoy this game, just play the trial, I’m sure you’ll love it.

    Suggestions:
    -optional bomb maker mode/sandbox
    -electronic art
    -more fantastic puzzle games
    -more levels

P.S thank you for reading my review

  • Amazing puzzle game

10/10 one of the best games I’ve seen of its kind. Easily worth the $3 for the full version.

To the devs: One small thing of note is that the last bomb of the game has a really simple solution that lets you ignore thinking through the actual puzzle. If you cut wires 3, 6, 9, and 12 (counting from the top) you can just turn all 4 switches on and defuse the bomb instantly.

I felt really clever finding this trick and it allowed me to solve the bomb on my first try (unlike some of the earlier hard bombs which took 2-3) but I think if you want the player to find the actual solution you should make those wires uncuttable.

I personally like that you are allowed to outsmart the imagined “bomb designer” but thought I should report the bug

  • Learning through play

I’m a beginner electronics hobbyist and I feel like this game is sharpening my abilities to read boards in an entertaining and engaging way.
  • Great implementation!

I learned more about electrical engineering, enhanced cognitive function, and had fun. The only obvious factor that seemed in realistic was the electron flow. The electricity was only shown coming out from the battery and never shown going back in or how that is important for electrical design. In theory in order to cut power from the detonator, couldn’t we just cut the wire going into the battery? I don’t know, but I wish you would teach that. Definitely misleading for people unaware of the basics of electrical wiring. Fantastic game.

  • Great game!! Keep the levels coming...

Really well made puzzle game. After a wile it becomes easy until the last few levels. How about making a whole bunch of levels as hard as the last ones and harder? Please!!!!!
  • Awesome game

I really appreciate the information about electronics. Thank you and your crew that have put this game together. Now I understand how some components work. This could be dangerous in the wrong hands.
  • Good game overall

I really liked the game and I paid for the full version. It was a bit tricky and I would say the challenges are fun.

At the final chapter it all makes sense as it turns into actual bomb setups with codes and all.

There are only some things I would like to mention tho:
    1) I ended the full game in a night (so more content would be nice)
    2) The “restart” button is like a cheat. I would go for a longer timer, like 4/5mins instead of 2 and like a really step down if you failed (most of the times I solved it with 1x restart)
    3) A zoom option would be helpful... especially in the last level.
    4) A “randomly” setup every time would be the best option because if it stays the same, an easy restart solves any issue or delays
    5) More stuff like the ones with digits and a specific order is more appealing - so add more content please

Overall it is a good game, very nice introduction and guidelines to develop througout every chapter, a pity it ends quickly.

  • Absolutely amazing

Although I am not an electrical engineering student, I am still interested in learning circuits and the like. This app comes as a perfect mix between educational introductions to circuits and relaxing enjoyment of playing games. Love the design- looks so professional and intriguing as if I am actually taking an academy specializing in bombs 💣

The only suggestion that I have is sometimes I got the bomb quiz right by luck (especially when I have a couple of moves left to disarm a bomb). This is fine to me, because again I know that I am no expert in the field. However, I would like an option that let me go back and see the complete and correct circuits that I have just solved with luck. It is just my habit, go back and restudy something I did not know for sure.

I am purchasing the premium. Hopes the premium version will continue to be as amazing as the free version. Developers, please make more levels for the app. I have a feeling the currently available levels will not be enough to sate my eagerness and curiosity 😘😘

Also, I searched the App Store and this app seems to be the only app that you made. Developers, when you make more apps like this (don’t have to be the same theme), let me know and I will be happy to play.

That’s how good I think this game is.
It’s the perfect balance of gaming while actually learning stuff I didn’t know.
Many try hard to achieve this but these guys nailed it.
Thank you and hope you guys are working on another app. Please let me know what you guys have done or are working on.
    Again, Great job!

  • Really dig it

I am really enjoying this and feel like I’m learning a lot about electrical components. I found one typo. How do I submit a screen shot?
