Film Production Industry
As a cinematographer who often works with an aerial unit, it’s just a reality that unit operates independently, with notes from the main unit and I can end up with unexpected results. This AR previs and production tool is such a game-changer and quality insurance for production. It will save countless reshoots because the local aerial production unit will have the exact shot that was intended and nothing can be lost in poor communication or execution. What a mind-blowing, useful, fun product.

Nothing that can’t be done on Google Earth already
It’s a cute pre-viz tool but to expect a quick AR spin around terrain fetched from Google Earth to somehow make drone flight planning a thing of the past seems flawed. Maybe it can help with the very first part of shot planning, but one telephone pole or wire that wasn’t there when you planned this thing in AR and your drone is kaput.
I like the overall idea but it seems silly at best and dangerous at worst to sell an app on the idea that you can remove a qualified pilot from the loop and just “fly the camera” now, with no worries on the pulling end. In an industry where there already is a disconnect between what directors want and what can be realistically done with drones, this app is setting up for some serious disappointment with filmmakers. Maybe one day, but for now, this is a fancy AR app that dumps a few waypoints and calls piloting obsolete.

Easy 3D preps
Easy peasy, this app makes it so much easier to plan your route. I would give it 6 stars but that’s not possible. Glad it’s finally
Launched because I’ve also tried doing this with google earth and gosh, it doesn’t work nearly as spectacular as Vermeer.
