Amazing results for my children, highly recommend

My 3rd grade son was introduced to this app through his teacher at the beginning of this year, and he loves it. He asks to play it after school, and my daughter has also started playing with it. We have no native Spanish speaking background, and I am blown away by how much they seem to understand in such a short time. They already speak better than I did after 4 years of highschool Spanish classes, and, as a parent, it is truly amazing to see your children succeed. Highly recommend this tool to other parents and teachers. Thank you!

Love how it teaches through stories!

I am a high school student and I love this app. I find it so much easier to learn Spanish through stories. It helps me learn so much more vocabulary than with flash cards! Way more memorable and way more fun! The illustrations are so cute and fun that it helps you remember the story really easily. I love the CopyCat mode - it has been really good for my pronunciation. And I love that these stories are in a mobile game. I like collecting gold keys, opening the treasure chests and getting stickers and Pokémon style cards. I just discovered that in the update this weekend there is now a stickerbook to make cool images and collages with all the stickers I’ve earned. Super cool.

My students love Fabulingua!

I’m an elementary Spanish teacher in Austin, TX. As soon as my 2nd grade students started playing Fabulingua, I heard exclamations of “This is SO FUN!” and “I love this app!” A bit of silence followed as they became immersed in the beautifully illustrated stories and games. Then, one by one, they started speaking Spanish phrases and sentences, mimicking the voice of the storyteller. My students are begging for more time with this app, and the teacher dashboard allows me to see how much progress they have made within the stories, whether at home or at school. As an elementary Spanish teacher who has searched for an engaging and age-appropriate stories-based app for years, this fits the bill! ¡Estoy muy emocionada!

Game-Changer for Language Acquisition

I whole-heartedly believe in FabuLingua. I am a parent and a Spanish teacher. I have seen how amazingly well this app helps children acquire an additional language. The unique methodology works brilliantly. The kids enjoy the stories and gameplay without realizing they are learning. It’s sneaky, but clever!

Cool Concept, Needs More

My 6 year old is in Spanish immersion school and we’re using this app to supplement her efforts. We really like the concept, but it also needs improvement. The first level was really good, she loved it and couldn’t wait for the next story. The stories were great and the artwork with interactive elements makes it fun. Unfortunately, it steps up quite quickly at the following levels. Long stories, very complex words. I think there needs to be more incremental steps. Also, the matching game only tests on the vocabulary in the current book, it would be good if you had to match more than 6 words and if it included past vocabulary from other stories. The long stories are fine to sit through the first time, but when you have to record in short bursts and then record reading the whole story, kids lose interest. It just goes on for too long. Or they just record “blah, blah, blah” to get through it (FabuLingua does not listen for accuracy). Overall, we like the app, but it would be better with more incremental steps, shorter stories, more games and cumulative testing on vocabulary.

Microschool use

I’ve chosen FabuLingua for our microschool because it aligns perfectly with our educational philosophy of following research-based practices for education. FabuLingua’s approach to language acquisition is rooted in proven methods, making it the ideal choice for our Spanish program. One of its key strengths is that it empowers students to learn independently, without the need for a dedicated Spanish teacher which is a necessity for our school at this point. Through this app, our students are motivated and self-driven to succeed in learning Spanish.

Not what I expected

I am 26 and I got this Spanish Learning Game for myself to learn Spanish as a third language. I know about 50 Spanish words at the time I reviewed this app, so I’m still a beginner, I think.

I thought it would be a point and tap adventure game where you would have to solve puzzles to progress, but the puzzles would all require knowing the Spanish language to solve. I also thought from the screenshots that I would have a player level associated with my file and have achievements to collect after starting a free trial. I was disappointed when I signed up for the yearly subscription with a week free trial and the gameplay was just reading a collection of picture books with audio recordings and there were no levels or achievements. There were mini games, but I felt like they were not part of the game flow at all. The matching games and spelling games which require understanding the story do not give any in-game rewards. When reading the books myself, I can say all of the words aloud to myself, but that does not necessarily mean I understand the content I’m reading. I get rewarded for reading the story, but not for proving I understood it through the mini games. I ended up deleting my account and cancelling my free trial after playing for about an hour because I did not feel like I was getting rewarded for the hard parts like the matching and spelling games.

Also, why am I collecting cards and stickers anyways? To study more words for the sake of it?

Fantastic Spanish learning app for kids!

I recently downloaded FabuLingua for my 4-year-old son, and it has quickly become a hit in our house. This app is perfect for Spanish language learning, specifically designed to grab the attention of young kids. The vibrant graphics and interactive stories keep my son engaged, making it super easy for him to learn Spanish while having fun.

FabuLingua is a lot like Duolingo but more kid-friendly, with storytelling and fun activities that are perfect for children. The stories are crafted to introduce new vocabulary and phrases in a way that feels like play. My son loves the colorful characters and enjoys repeating the words, which really helps with his pronunciation and memory.

As a parent, I love how FabuLingua uses a mix of listening, speaking, and interactive play—key for picking up a new language at this age. It's comforting to see my child learning essential language skills while having a blast.

The app's easy-to-use design means my little guy can navigate it on his own, which boosts his confidence and encourages him to explore more. With FabuLingua, my son is not only learning Spanish but also falling in love with language and storytelling. I'd definitely recommend this app to any parent looking for a fun and effective way to help their kids learn Spanish.

Unable to subscribe

I was excited when I found out about this app, because I really love the idea, and am a firm believer in the comprehensible input method of learning a language. Unfortunately, we have been unable to really use the app.. After listening to the first story, it prompted us to subscribe in order to continue listening to the other stories. But when I tried to click on the subscribe button, it got stuck on the loading page. I tried restarting the app several times, and attempting to subscribe, but each time it did the same thing. I then went to my apple account, under subscriptions, and it showed that I did in fact subscribe.. so then I went back into the app, but it still showed that I had not yet subscribed… I have sent an email to the company to see if this issue can be resolved, but it didn’t give me a great first impression of the app

So many bugs

Total waste of money to not be able to use what we’ve paid for. Even after the latest update that was supposed to fix the specific bug we’re experiencing, we’re still unable to get past the tutorial stage of the app (and this is after deleting and re-downloading multiple times). Gave it several months hoping the issue would be resolved but we’re cancelling our subscription and will be finding another option.
