App crashes & takes forever to upload a photos (performance has gotten worse)

I’ve been using Lensa for the last 2 years and pay for the app. I used to love the app two years ago but I think it’s now gone downhill. It’s SO slow, it lags and crashes constantly (at least 90% of the time).

It used to be so simple to use…I could upload multiple photos, enhance the photo using the “Magic AI” preset and save the photo. It was so simple and easy. But, now there are way too many features at the cost of performance. The app constantly crashes and takes an average of about 30 secs to 1 minute to upload one photo! Then it will just crash and stop working. It’s quite frustrating.

Then to enhance a photo, you need to go into each preset and scroll through multiple options to enhance the photo. It also automatically “blurs” the background when you press the Magic AI preset and makes the picture look too filtered. The biggest frustration has been the lagging performance of the app and the complicated features. I’m going to start looking for a new app to use sadly.

Love it when it works, but the glitches

I don’t use this app for elaborate things, but I do like to blur backgrounds and adjust to contrast. What I don’t love is that 10 times in a row, the app crashes when doing some pretty basic things, before even being able to save your photos

I paid for their tariff plans, but they still did not give me access, the money was debited from the card and the receipt was sent to the mail, but there is no data in the application and, accordingly, there is no access either

Poor export quality

Update: lensa is trying to get subscribers who are paid up to pay up for another subscription. Don’t get duped! By this. In addition They do not respond to emails about legitimate issues. Ignore ignore ignore. Features and functions even on premium subscription don’t work and unavailable. This issue has been occurring for over a year. NO RESPONSE from lensa Latest update. Lensa has started limiting Use of Editing features to a certain number each day. This is a new development. Obviously they told know one about it and you only discover it she. You start using the editing so much do for unlimited plan. It doesn’t really mean unlimited. JPEG export at low 72 resolution regardless of original file size. Originally responders told me it could edit raw files. This is a lie. As well as the rubbish they said that it should export at same resolution as original file. It doesn’t! You’re lucky if you get a 1mb image. Of course customer service is lacking. Zero interaction. Not to mention preventing this review been posted

Yes, indeed, after the release of the latest update, a number of users faced the fact that subscriptions are no longer displayed in the app. We have fixed this issue at the moment. To resolve this issue on your device, please follow these steps: 1. Log out of the application. 2. Sign back in using the same account you used to purchase the subscription. - If you used an Apple ID to make the purchase, it may be a hidden Apple ID such as randomtext@privaterelay.appleid.com. 3. Make sure the correct Apple ID is signed in to your device under Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions to verify your subscription details. If the problem persists after you've signed in with the correct account, please let us know at fb@lensa-ai.com and we help you further. Vlad

Updates have disappointed

I downloaded this app a couple of years ago to try the ai avatar feature. It worked great. You could upload a few photos of yourself to use and it would generate fun ai photos with your likeness. I decided to do a few again today. Excited you can now put two people in a photo. I realized you can only upload one photo now. And the ai avatars look nothing like us. Quite disappointed considering it worked so well in the past.

Hello, thank you for your review. We have indeed added a new Fast Avatars model, but you can still access the old Avatar models. Just tap the gear icon (Settings) in the top-right corner of the Magic Avatars screen. This will open options for selecting different avatar styles. Artistic and Realistic Avatar models use a large number of original photos to generate. Please let us know if you still have any questions at fb@lensa-ai.com. Vlad

I have had to unsubscribe from Pro

After weeks of trying to get Lensa working, it no longer allows me to restore my subscription. It started by preventing the use of presets and showing errors such as ‘reached daily limit’. Customer service advised to delete and reinstall. Sadly, I can no longer restore my Pro subscription, which defeats the purpose of paying for the app. Shame. Great app turned bad

Terrible avatars

I used this about a year or so ago & was allowed to upload multiple photos of myself to be used, it was fun & I was pleased that most of the images looked like me, thought I’d try a few of the new avatar packs & was surprised it now only asks for one photo uploaded. The results were terrible, didn’t look like me at all & despite choosing a photo with clear hair visible the results changed my hairstyle to something else completely & gave every image the same new hair style. I tried 3 times using 3 different original photos & each time the avatars got the exact same fictional hairstyle & also didn’t look like me. Was much better when it used multiple photos to generate the AI pics from as one photo clearly isn’t enough information. Waste of time & money!

Edit after developer response:
Yeh I tried several times using various photos & all the results came out bad i.e The beach holiday avatar in your example shows a fit topless man on the beach, I was a personal trainer & in good shape but all the beach ones I got had me a polo shirt or jumper with a fat belly & made me look like an old man off to play golf! I have a bit of stubble but it’s not grey, but all of the AI images gave grey stubble. It’s like they made me unfit & aged me 30 years! Won’t waste any more money on trying new ones.
