This app no longer works on my iPhone

UPDATE -with continued correspondence with tech-support I was able to discover that an iOS software update resolved the problem. Very glad to have the app working again on my phone.

I have an iPhone XR and in July and this app quit working. I have emailed their tech-support many times since then and they are not fixing the issue and now are barely even responding to my emails. I have the paid membership because I moved away from Evernote when things change the beginning of this year. I am very disappointed and frustrated because I really need a note taking app when I’m away from the office on my phone.

Thanks for the updated review! We're happy to hear updating iOS resolved the issue. Sorry again for the initial inconvenience.

a bug fix would be great

got this app as an Evernote replacement after a harrowing search for notes apps with unlimited notes, an organizational system, and cloud capacity. it fit all my parameters and still functions great on desktop, but a month ago it railroaded me into downloading an update (hit me with a ‘we won’t let you view your notes until you download this’ message) and now none of my notes are viewable on mobile lol. viewing anything or even trying to start a new note just gives me a forever loading screen. I have been downloading updates in hopes that it gets fixed but no dice. I have an older-ish phone (2020 se) but like cmon

All in one Note Taker

Great App. Fantastic features. Very solid performance. Has excellent desktop and mobile apps. Seems to also work well offline and then sync when signal is available. Love the task management and task score for prioritising tasks. Helps give clarity to what should be done next. Great Google Calendar (and Apple and MS) integration. Can see my GC events (from another program) and create general and meeting notes from these events. Has back linking, web capture, rich notes, tags, nested tags etc. Huge list of handy features, but maintains an underwhelming GUI so that one doesn’t give up taking notes. Highly underrated Application. It should be leading the pack but seems to just go about creating and maintaining a great product without all the hype and broken promises/performance issues I’ve experienced with other Apps. I am not affiliated with this product and this is NOT a paid opinion.

It's great to hear you're enjoying Amplenote. Thanks for the 5-star feedback!

Smart productivity app

I’ve tried a lot of different productivity apps that had all the “bells and whistles “ but lacked many simple features that really were needed. My favorite feature of Amplenote is the “hide until “ feature which is actually why I found Amplenote in the first place. You can create all your lists and to dos in one place but then hide anything that isn’t needed yet. My ADHD brain is very grateful because seeing my entire list paralyzes me, but feeling like I’m forgetting something causes intense anxiety. Amplenote is the best of both worlds. I haven’t dove fully into all the features but it was simple enough to just get started with the features I need. I’m excited to keep using Amplenote. Thank you!

Start date != due date

I think they think they are clever only giving you one date field called “Start Date” but if we all started our tasks only on the day it was due we’d all be in trouble. The help docs specifically have to tell you “Due/Start Date” to emphasize they are the same to them which should intuitively tell you that that’s not intuitive and the fact that in app it’s not called that further tells me it’s wonky. Frankly I need it to say Due Date as I need deadlines or else things don’t get done on time. A Start Date is a start date and I’m sure there’s some kind of thinking around the nomenclature but that feels like an agenda I don’t want pushed to me from a productivity app.

Thanks for the feedback! We agree there are improvements to be made on this. Adding a separate Due Date field is a top 10 requested feature by our user community, so we've been hard at work exploring how we might best implement it. If you're open to sharing your input, please email us at support@amplenote.com with "Attn Justin" in the subject and we'd be happy to chat. Thanks!

Perfectly matches my workflow! 🧡

I tried every popular productivity app recently… they all lacked the certain functions I needed to work at my most efficient. You usually either get a notes app OR a todo & calendar app, but Ample gives you the best of both. Best features are: Any tasks in your notes get captured and organized for you to place on your calendar. And easily accessible collapsible nodes in notes by h1/h2/h3, a perfect way to nest information in your notes without having a super lengthy, cluttered note. Overall a perfect workflow app for me and I will be upgrading to founder plan to support the creators :)

Excellent notes app, simple yet powerful!

With an emphasis on note taking rather than project management, Amplenote has the core features you need, like cloud sync and cross platform support, and the extras you want, like tags, formatting and sharing.

Finally something I can use without making any compromises.

Changed my life

I was overwhelmed with too many projects (career, non-profit, family, home repair, etc.), and I just couldn’t keep track of it all. My todo lists had too many tasks, some from over a year ago, and for every task I had to find where I put the info/notes when it was time to work on one. Numerous apps solve the issues of mixing notes and tasks, but they were either too hard to use or only good at either tasks or notes. Amplenote is the sweet spot for me, built for thinking through hard projects and helping me figure out what I need to work on. There is a learning curve, and it really helps to try to fit into the workflow the developers prefer, but I can’t imagine not having it. It’s made me massively more productive at home and work.
