Best app for uploading my wardrobe

The best app I’ve found for uploading my wardrobe, and I’ve tried multiple. The edit feature is amazing for reducing the background on the items I upload. Good to see the app constantly being updated and improved.

Would give 6*s if possible

This app has made streamlining my wardrobe an absolute dream, and made me fall in love again with items I hadn’t picked up for years! The outfit views make everything look gorgeous, and I’m excited to wear things again! The customer service has been so personal, lovely and helpful and you can see how much they care about the app they’ve created. The only thing I can’t quite figure out (may be user error) is how to follow all of the friends who I’ve recommended this app to!

The perfect app for Wardrobe Visibility and Styling

Own-Kind is super useful for me as it gives me full visibility of my entire wardrobe. When I’m out shopping or putting looks together with my stylist, we just check the app and create looks so I’m fully prepared for my business trips and events. It’s also surprisingly easy to use!

Brings my wardrobe to life!

A great app on many fronts! Perfectly explains how to utilise each of the apps features via ‘how to’s’ and visual examples. Want to feel inspired this app is the place to go, I’ve never appreciated my wardrobe more! One of my favourite parts is the collage making feature, in the next update I’d love to see the option for more creativity in these collages such as different colours and fonts to make them more personal and shareable to social media platforms. Would definitely recommend this app to friends and family!

Love the idea of adding more creativity tools to the outfit collages so we'll get cracking on that ASAP - nb not sure if you've seen the share option that allows you to send your collages straight into WhatsApp / Text / WeChat or Email? If you have the latest update then any shoppable items in your collage will also have a link so your recipient can find the item online :) Sarah x

Soo useful

I use this app to upload my clothes and ask for style advice from stylists. They gave me amazing options and I already bought the dress my stylist recommended!!! I also saw that you can style someone vis StyleMatch I really want to try and earn points as well!! Love this app and recommend it 100%

So so helpful

This app is so useful, the stylists helped me freshen up my wardrobe and create new outfits from my own items and from retailers. My wardrobe now feels complete and I always know what to wear!!

Just love it!

I have been using this app for couple of months, really enjoy the new updates!

Is simple enough to use but have so many cool features that I haven’t seen elsewhere, the greatest feature of Own - Kind is that the app is extremely useful and that is the most important to me!

Hello! Thank you so much for your feedback! Reorganise in the main screen - while we haven't built this in the App, if you go to the desktop version at www.own-kind.com we have this feature. Go to the wardrobe tab and above the filters on the left hand side of the page you will see a "Move items" toggle - if you toggle it on, you can move items about, then toggle it off to save their location. It doesn't work perfectly (one of the reasons we didn't build it into the App) but hopefully it will be some help and you should see the changed order in the App. (You can also use the filters to find your items more easily). For searching outfits - do you mean your outfits or on the Stylists page? If you have any more thoughts on this, please email info@hq.own-kind.com and we will see what we can do. In the calendar, if you click on any of the Outfits, you will be able to see it - but I agree this could be slicker. I will feed this back to the tech team. One year in and loving it!

I came to the Own-Kind app because I wanted a tool for visualizing my wardrobe and I liked it better than the other options I saw. When they incorporated personal styling into the app it took things up a level, so I get so much more out of it than just organisation of my own wardrobe and outfits with the clothes I already own (though that’s a huge + for me already!). I love that I can see different stylists aesthetics and pick someone to style me with clothes I own and new stuff. It also helps for sustainability-minded people like myself because I’m able to get so much more use out of what I own. I started using the app about a year ago and am impressed with the continued updates!

Great app - does what it says

Really enjoying using this app.
The photo uploading works to eliminate background on photos so all garments look like magazine photos and really professional
The outfit creator is easy and professional to use.
Would definitely recommend

I would like the app to develop
More style ideas in the stylist section - could also have affiliate links I assume you want to monitize?
More categories - in dresses have options for maxi, jumpsuits, midi etc. Have a fabric option e.g wool, silk etc. Categories within jewellery - when photos are auto categorised you have earrings but I can’t select that option if the auto is incorrect

I’m enjoying using the app and I’m rediscovering my wardrobe and shopping less so thank you

Thanks BeccaLouH! Your affiliate idea is so good that we added it! If you have updated the App, click the + in Wardrobe tab and you will see you now have a "Shoppable items" option - if you create a collage with those items and then share the collage, each one will have a link in the sharable PDF to the product page. We're working on better categorisation and adding a better level of detail, really useful to know what you would like - e.g. material - so thank you for that. The latest update was pretty recent so would love to hear what you think! Sarah x

Super app for styling advice

The best thing about this app is the free styling sessions you get from real stylists who actually have taste and know what they are talking about! It's such a clever idea and I couldn't recommend it more. I booked a session and then had a quick video call to discuss what I was looking for. It took all the fuss out of texting my friends or having to plan a meeting in person. The stylist ended up taking me out my comfort zone and gave me some really cool recommendations.

Adding items to my wardrobe was really easy too and takes far less time than I thought. Thank you!
