It’d be great if it worked
Only persisting with this app as my kid’s school makes a lot of use of it. I could live with it showing multiple notifications for 1 item if it didn’t then show an error when I try to open the app. Doesn’t show my account a lot of the time, can’t find any schools….all the same bugs people were highlighting almost 6 months ago! Deleting and reinstalling sometimes fixes the issue, sometimes doesn’t.Show lessBc3760
Awful App
I can not stress how awful this app is. Constantly glitches messages don’t come through. It unsubscribes you then you can’t find the school when you try and log back in. I thought it was my phone got a new one and it was even worse. This is for sharing information from school and is soo stressful as it just doesn’t work. More glitches than normal/ ever
Been using this app for school for years. Not had any issues really however, so did start about 12months ago may be a bit longer. Shows more than one new nofticiation when I get a new one through, all are ready.
The newest glitch that’s really frustrating is the app just not working. Won’t search for schools, every time I open it I get sorry error close retry same. Deleted app, reinstalled same.
Please fix these bugs, the app overall was fine and I’d like to come back and do a new review saying it is again.Show lessmadijayne09
Doesn’t work properly at all
As a parent this app is terrible. It’s showing as 41 notifications when I have read them all. Constant errors when reminders are coming through from school. Booking parents evening didn’t seem to work either and now I can’t access it at all!
The school have repeatedly tried to use this app well intended, and it’s regularly needing to be fixed by tech support.Show lessNetty558
Clearly Some Bugs
Please can the bugs be sorted out with the notifications. As soon as I receive a notification, it pops up that I have anywhere from 20-40 notifications from the app. As soon as I read the new message, then the notifications disappear. I don’t understand why it does this and it’s pretty annoying.Pandawudle
Pretty good app but with some annoying bugs
As both a parent and teacher using this app I have to say that it’s great for and receiving communication to/from school but there are a few bugs that are annoying. The all-in-one approach to the has massively streamlined all extraneous emails and paperwork.
The only annoyance is that when I receive notification as a parent, it always comes through twice in the iOS Notification Centre at the same time. Also, the app badge shows 11 or 16 notifications, when in fact I only have 1. Please could you suggest a fix / update to address this?Show lessbrouth
Not a bad app
App seems to work fine and is easy to use however when adding other people to the app there is no option for step-parents but have every other option you could think of.
It gets a bit tiring when step-parents are overlooked especially when they’ve stepped up to be a primary care giver where others have bailed. Might be something to think about adding it on as an option rather than having to select “other”Show lesslasshammer

This app is good for keeping in touch with the school.
Our fridge used to be covered in letters and school newsletters. We would still forget things.
I love the school calendar import to icalendar.
I would love to be able to delete messages when they are read or not needed but they keep on coming back. 🤬.
If you struggle to get signed up then I would see the school because often you find your details don’t match.
Printing newsletters or info is improved but not perfect. Just PDF it and allow me to iPrint directly.

iPhone too old to run it, but a good app
Until the latest update the app was pretty good but now it crashes a few seconds after opening so is unusable on my phone. Customer support was very helpful though and explained this is an issue of Apple not supporting models older than 6S. It works well on a newer iPad.CSKendal

Hi sorry we had a huge amount of traffic on the app in the week following the launch. You should no longer have any issues but if you do please contact support@parentapps.co.uk. We did also release an update earlier this week to iron out some other bugs so please do check for an update in the app store too.Was a really good app until update
Prior to updating it today it was a great app.
Unfortunately since updating it it now opens for about three seconds and then disappears so it’s currently unusable. Hopefully someone fixes it or I’ll be missing school updates for the foreseeable
I did contact the support email address at parentapp to be told that as I’ve got an iPhone 6s the app will no longer work on it and that it’s apples fault.Show lessmrschops08
