DIAMANTE Step Tracking

DIAMANTE is a mobile app created by Adrian Aguilera, Courtney Lyles, and Audacious Software and is used in the Diabetes and Mental Health Adaptive Notification Tracking and Evaluation (DIAMANTE) Study to understand how text messaging programs can be used to increase physical activity. DIAMANTE builds upon our past work deploying mobile messaging technologies to encourage healthy living and positive behavior change in physical and mental health settings. DIAMANTE integrates with the Health app and HealthKit to retrieve your daily and historical step counts. This information is used to gather additional step counts from other devices and services utilizing HealthKit. Data Sharing Disclaimer: DIAMANTE collects analytic information describing how the app is used. This information is transmitted to the DIAMANTE server and is not shared with any third parties. Furthermore, DIAMANTE also includes crash-reporting software that captures any application crashes and transmits that information to the HockeyApp service. No personal data is sent to this service, and only study staff have access to crash logs and device model information included in these submissions. This research study (IRB Number: 17-22608) has been approved by the UCSF Institutional Review Board (IRB).
