Description of ProSpect for M1

Set Your Shop Management System Free The Manager™ SE shop management system just got more powerful with the option to take the system with you beyond the walls of your shop to complete the vehicle check-in and inspection processes right at the vehicle. Using your mobile phone or tablet device, scan a VIN or snap a photo of the license plate and ProSpect™ decodes the VIN or plate and searches for a matching vehicle in the customer database. If one is found, you can quickly add canned jobs or start a multipoint inspection, estimate or repair order. If not, just create a new vehicle record and you’re on your way. Never hand write an estimate, repair order or note again — and you can also include notes and pictures to fully document any vehicle issues found during the inspection. Greet your Customers at the Vehicle and Get to Work Right Away ProSpect offers fully wireless functionality and seamless integration with Manager™ SE, so you can proactively greet your customers and start addressing their vehicle concerns before they even step into your shop. Reviews of ProSpect for M1

  • Not worth the cost

The app/ service is simply not worth the cost. They haven’t updated it in two years and it shows. Techs and service writers should have separate screens. Report layout is dated, at best. This is just not a value added workflow. Inspection screens are unusable in ‘dark mode’. On iPhone. Data point entry is clumsy, at best. Further, Why not incorporate job logging or several other features in the app? There’s a significant wasted opportunity here particularly for the cost. Mitchell1 gets a lot of money for their products, generally. Simply put, in its current iteration, this should be free.
  • So many issues

Absolutely useless. Get black screens and just glitchy software overall. UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE MITCHELL GET WITH THE TIMES.
  • Not worth it. Save yourself time and headache and use any other digital inspection software.

No support for over 2 years means it will run poorly and not fit correct on the screens of modern phones and tablets. At the foundation the layout of the report info and photos is disorganized and creates a bad customer experience. Mitchel created this software as an inexpensive alternative to the most popular digital inspection software yet I would not use it if it was free (Highly recommend Bolt On instead).

Might be better if it ever gets updated but I don’t think Mitchel cares about this software at all, the sales department is probably the only part of the company that remembers it still exists.
