Description of Rep Up for Watch

Rep Up is an assistant for your gym workouts. It helps you focus on the movement that you are performing, and the muscles that you are trying to engage. It helps you create that mind muscle connection by removing the need to count your reps. It's simple and easy to use. Set your goal rep and start your workout, it taps you when It's time to stop. Alternatively, you can set it to tap you every five reps so you don't need to interact with your device at all till your workout is done. It detects when you've stopped and automatically resets the rep count. Since it's designed to tap you can use it in the gym even when there's loud music. It counts any exercise with prominent hand movements such as squats, deadlifts, rows, shoulder press, bench press, etc. and even most movements where your hand is stationary, like push-ups, pull-ups, leg raises etc. Rep Up is designed for Apple Watch, taking advantage of features like Workout Tracking, Taptic Engine and a powerful processor allowed us to build a truly meaningful experience. You can use Rep Up with iPhone as well but you'll need an armband. Main Features ⋅ Designed for Apple Watch. ⋅ Fifteen free workouts on watch and phone. ⋅ Automatically taps you when you reach your goal rep. ⋅ Detects when you've stopped and auto resets. ⋅ Tap every five reps setting (no user interaction required). ⋅ Fully Usable in gyms with loud music. ⋅ Workout Tracking for watch and integration with the Health App. ⋅ Works with iPhone (Armband required). Reviews of Rep Up for Watch

  • Didn’t work.

Sorry. But the app didn’t work well. It didn’t tap me and it did not pass a count of 4.
  • Won’t unlock on my watch.

I downloaded this for my Apple Watch and says to “open the iPhone app and tap here”. I’ve tapped with my finger and with the phone itself and nothing will unlock the app on my watch. I handed no orders why the so that counts reps needs to be locked at all, but for this reason, I haven’t been able to try it. As far as I know, it doesn’t work.

    Developer Response

Thanks for the feedback. Can you please try updating both the operating systems. iOS and watchOS should be the latest. Then try reinstalling the app.
  • Great start! But this feature is needed!

I love how this app says what it can do and does it well. Some weight exercises work better than others for this app, and there are times it over counts or under counts. But for the most part it’s pretty accurate. There’s this one element I wish the developers would add to make this the ultimate weight rep app, and that would be to add a customizable interval timer that vibrates when it’s time for the next rep set. Accurate rep time matters in weight training as it accounts for whether you're aiming to develop muscle strength, hypertrophy, or strength endurance. Even better would be an alert/vibration for when your heart rate drops 60% of your maximum heart rate, as that’s even more accurate (but probably harder to implement) to measure time between sets. Anyway, those are my suggestions!

Thank you for making this app, as I enjoy it developers!

    Best,

    A personal trainer in training.
