Another info/preferences mining app
Giving person info for an “account” is NEVER for their benefit! If it was, it would be optional. You dont need my email or personal address for my use of the app, you want it to know who uses what where etc and other nefarious abuses of our info and preferences.
Great concept but needs a lot of work
I’ve been using HomeDiary for about 2 years to track my home maintenance history. It’s much easier to use the website rather than the app itself. Lots of bugs… photos that show up on the website version won’t load at all on the app version. Scrolling through the timeline is laggy and unresponsive at time. Notes are only visible on a tiny window when you click/press “edit” on the timeline. You’re unable to label photos or organize them, and PDF files for contractor receipts, invoices, etc. are not visible unless you download them.
There’s only a few home maintenance tracking apps out now, and most of them aren’t great. This is the only tracking app that I like, but it has a lot of potential to be better. Wouldn’t mind paying a reasonable subscription fee to get premium, up-to-date service too.

Great idea, but missing essential functionality...
I love the idea of this app, but it does not allow the addition of recurring events. So if I want to remind myself to change my furnace filters every three months, I need to add it 4x per year. That was a show stopper for me! Huge oversight, so much that I lost respect for the app itself. I’ll check back when they add this essential functionality...

Response from developer
We've since added the ability to create several kinds of recurring reminders. Please check back and thanks for leaving feedback!
Using to Track Remodel Expenses
We are remodeling our kitchen and bathroom. This is a great tool for tracking not just the expenses, but also track paint colors, tile choices and track ideas. Invaluable for this project.

I moved out of state, and bought a fixer upper condo a few months ago. I have been using homediary to document all of the changes and update I’ve been making.
It so fun and puts everything in one place, I’ve never felt so organized!
I’ve been documenting dates, receipts, the people that did the work, and their contact info. Not to mention my home inspection, warrantee’s and other documents!
I would recommend this app to any homeowner! Two thumbs up!!
