Love it. Not complicated yet does allot
Been using this for nearly a year. It’s pretty easy and really not complex. What I like is, it doesn’t crash, it makes my pictures better with the features and melds very well with my iOS ecosystem system. I used this exclusively to clean up my pictures until, and I’ll mention the only real con for me, I needed to put a digital frame around my corrected slides. I didn’t realize this feature is hard to find. Then I found Adobe Lightroom. Yes, Lightroom does that. Lightroom is actually better overall, but I can’t stand the subscription model of payment and the adobe penchant to keep all things Adobe. It’s very proprietary in that way. Photomator is not. Though it does less than Lightroom, it is issued free and you can buy a lifetime license. Their customer service is great too. When I needed them for a small issue they responded promptly and were very helpful.
Like most editing programs, it has all you need for manual adjustments, including their very cool subject erase feature which works well.
Unfortunately once you get used to these programs, you learn and sometimes want more to play with. That made me look around and I ended up with yet another program called Radiant. Great for auto corrections. But using all three of these programs, I often go to Photomator for its reliable sync with all my Mac stuff, good results and the price is very reasonable for the lifetime license.
Can’t help but recommend Photomator. I would qualify this program though for beginner to intermediate skill levels. If you need lots of fancy effects, consider Lightroom or Photoshop. But again, the Adobe subscription model is very undesirable in my opinion. And when you have Photomator to do the majority of what all these programs do, it settles in as a no brainer. I can’t see anyone being disappointed with Photomator as long as your needs aren’t at the professional level.
