Description of ssswitch

ssswitch let’s you send simple HTTP requests or webhooks over the Internet, to trigger actions e.g. in your home. The advantage compared to native apps from the manufacturer is, that ssswitch is independent for any standard the manufacturer may use, as long as the system accepts HTPP requests. Another feature is, that you can easily transfer the created actions to other iOS devices, so e.g. your whole family can use your devices very easily. I hope you enjoy the app and the functionality. If so, please rate it in the App Store.

  • Does what it says

This app would be so amazing if it had face/touch id for webhooks.
  • No apparent way to enter json or any other message

There’s no way to sent json in a webhook post. I have a single webhook relay URL on a secure web socket, thus the only way for me to program more than 1 function without rigging another set of URLs to act as an intermediary, is to include a message to send, like make a webhook call to IFTTT, but if I have to rely on IFTTT, there’s not much point in using this app. Plus, that’s a lot more work. I deleted the app and will use Siri Shortcuts instead. If you just want to post to IFTTT though, this is better than using their button widgets.
