  • Misleading

Although the app is great in its structure and set up. It’s content is misleading. They use the W.H.O as their source of guidance and list white bread has healthy for diabetics, and spouted whole grain as not. Same with cheese raw is listed as not healthy and packaged cheese as healthy we know this to be false. I don’t fault them but they get their educational source from a corrupt institution that wants you to remain unhealthy. Bobby Approved is a much better app for healthy choices for all.

Hi! Thanks for the review. WHO is one of multiple sources we use for our health algorithm. Without knowing the exact products that you scanned, it's difficult to pinpoint the issue. It is possible some of those products had incorrect data which made them have a better score than they should. For our users with diabetes, we have developed an alert that takes into account the fiber content as well as other elements to advise against said products. This alert only appears if you select the diabetes option during onboarding, so it is possible you don't have the diabetes alert activated. Please contact us at contact@gococo.app so we can investigate and address your concerns.

  • Impossible to sign up

No longer interested. Bye forever. Let me reiterate: impossible to sign up, error received upon every attempt. Please don’t respond. I don’t care at all. 😐

And you still insist the problem was resolved, guess what, no it hasn’t. Go away.

    Developer Response

We're sorry that you have decided to leave us forever! The sign-up issue has been resolved with our latest release, but we would like you to know that sign-up with Apple ID and Google were always working, so it was never impossible to sign up :)

The sign-up issue has been resolved with our latest release. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
  • Off to a good start!

I like the ease of use and clear information. This has helped me to see things in foods that I would have considered healthy. Now I can look for alternatives.
I will look into a few similar apps for these features that would be helpful
    - types of fat (this app only gives sat)
    - a way to save or favorite recipes to find easily at another time
    - nutrition information for the suggested recipes

Hi Caramella, currently we don't have specific Canadian stores in our database. We are working towards this, but it takes time. We are very close to introducing a feature that allows for users to take a photo of a product's ingredients and nutritional information and get an instant scoring of the product. I understand that this doesn't directly solve your issue at this moment, but I wanted to let you know that we are actively working on improving this issue. Thanks for trying our app!
  • Opps!

Opps! Not recognized. Everything I've tried. Given up and deleted app.

    Developer Response

We're sorry about the inconvenience, IanWarn! We currently don't have databases specifically for the UK, but shortly we will be introducing a function that allows users to quickly take a photo of the nutritional information and ingredients to immediately receive a score!
  • Track

They track your activity & bio

    Developer Response

Hi! The App Store provides all the information regarding privacy upfront before you decide to download the app. You receive a pop-up once you start the app that asks if you would like to allow sharing your information (which you can decline), despite this, currently we don't track any private information such as activity and bio or any other kind. The warning exists because in a previous version of the app (years ago) we had tested a feature that recommended content based on your information, this was scrapped. The only tracking possible with our app is the habit tracker that allows you to track manually your veggie eating and exercise goals! :)
