Description of PulseCheckUp

Disclaimer: Please seek a doctor’s advice in addition to using this app and before making any medical decisions. To learn more about our research, please click the following link for information citations and recommendation sources. http://www.jinmu.com.tw/whitepaper/ We provide a stylish non-invasive Sensor and the PulseCheckUp App. With the sensor, the app, and a data connection, your can receive personalized information about your resonance pattern, heart rate, comparative body age, and a description of your pattern type. Within minutes you can see specific massage points that can help relieve stress within your body, food recommendations for your pattern type, and exercises to bring you into balance. As recognized by the American Heart Association in an article on our research, “Pulse waves may detect problems missed by blood pressure readings.” After a reading, one result you receive is your unique visual resonance pattern. It consists of 8 colored bars labeled C0 to C7. This is a visual snapshot of how your body is allocating energy to major organs and systems. If all the bars are at zero, your pattern is the same as a healthy 20 years old. Variations up and down indicate key areas in your body are using more or less energy. When there is an injury, infection, or disease these get out of balance. Using data from a large-scale health trial with over 1 million users, we have found meaningful patterns that frequently occur.

  • Unreliable data and customer service

The measurements from the pulse monitor fluctuate drastically from one minute to another (the body age could vary from 30 to 50 within a few minutes, not to mention the other meridian measurements. This makes us question the validity of the device and the algorithm behind it. How are we going to improve our daily exercise / diet habits based on the data when we can’t trust the data? We contacted the customer service and somehow they sent a sports nutritionist to consult with us. She was a bit unprofessional: first she said that the different postures could result in different measurements within minutes. But when we showed her how we took the pulse she was looking at her phone and answering messages instead of looking at our postures. After this she kept saying that it could be this reason or that reason and insisted that we try the device for another month without offering us a concrete solution. While we understand that she probably was unprepared for this type of technical consult (in the beginning she thought this was a sports / nutrition consult) due to customer service miscommunication, the company should have done a better job training their customer service preps and consultants given the high price of the product.

Overall, a waste of money and time.
