Leave a Review ForeFlight Passenger
Map could be ALOT better
It’s not all that usefulDisappointing
Incredibly lame. The simulates the sort of thing you see in an airliner but with almost no map detail. I expected some additional data from the pilots ForeFlight, such as weather, airspace or traffic, but there is nothing but route, speed, and ETA. Most passengers will be better informed using another map application with GPS location.Show lessNot showing in store for iPad
Can’t seem to find it foe the iPad only the phoneGood idea, but terrible maps
This is a great idea, but the map quality is terrible...passengers expect something along the lines of Apple Maps, showing streets, etc., not some low-res thing that looks like it was drawn with a crayon! Since the flight plan is known ahead of time, the app should cache all the tiles it is going to need to show a reasonable quality map throughout the flight.
Update: A year later and still the same crappy maps. Pathetic development team on this thing.Show lessGreat but adding more features can make it even better
Like using the passenger app for my passengers in the plane. So they have updated info and can be well aware of where we are without having to teach them to use foreflight.
But it would be nice to have an option to show traffic coming from the ADSB. So that they can assist in looking for traffic.
I think that would be such a great feature additionShow lessGraphics
Are you serious ? Is this the best a Boeing Company can do? Where are the great visual graphics? You truly missed the chance to show passengers your stuff. I don’t care how easy it is to install it boring boring and still boring I keep looking for the color enhance button. 2 stars / One for free and One the thought. Wow let’s try and raise the bar just a little on the next effort.Show lessSurface features needed
Great app and my wife who flies with me uses it all the time to see when we expect to arrive and relatively where we are. However the more conf map needs more surface features to have the passenger look and locate them making it more entertainingNeeds more map data
I end up typically just running ForeFlight itself on my cell phone for passengers to look at because the passenger app needs more granular maps (more towns perhaps some additional road data) and also the ability to show airports on the map. My passengers like doing some pilotage and enjoy seeing landmarks shown on their view like airports.Show lessReally cool experience for passengers
This app rocks but I think something that would be cool is a way to On the main foreflight app be able to send notifications to the passengers. Such as sometimes I’m isolated do to a lot of distractions in the cockpit but if we can control messages to the passenger app that would be amazing. Also a way to have a seatbelt sign would be really cool that we can control on the main foreflight app.Show lessRemaining time tweak needed
Really like the ForeFlight Passenger app. Came in handy when our aircraft’s Airshow System broke. Glad that one can airplay it from an iPhone to an Apple TV, but would like to see Passenger app available on the Apple TV too in the future.
Minor complaint - the Remaining time and ETA are not accurate during initial climb out, when re-routed nor on radar vectors to final. On climbout it initially indicated 11+ hours remaining time shortly after takeoff (for our 5 hour flight). Once at cruising altitude/speed, the remaining time and ETA got more accurate (within 15 minutes of our aircraft FMS remaining time). During re-route, Remaining time grew to an hour off before I thought about using the Direct To feature on ForeFlight then re-pushing the data from ForeFlight to Passenger app manually. During approach phase, the Remaining time indicated 8 minutes remaining abeam the airport, but the time grew higher as we were vectored to the other side of the airport to intercept a 10 mile final. Even though we eventually flew the final approach track loaded in ForeFlight, the Remaining time kept increasing (to 31 minutes remaining on a 5 mile final to land) before I turned the app off.
Passengers commented they could see E-mail pop-ups on the Passenger app screen.Show less
