Beware BUGS!!!
This app works intermittently in AUM, as in mostly NOT working. I’m using iOS 13.4.1 on a 2019 iPad pro. Loads up and works, then suddenly stops working. Reload AUM and load the exact same apps with the exact same settings, same MIDI routings, and Cality does not work. Nothing. Zip. Nada.
Apple needs to have some kind of evaluative review process for it’s apps... I’m so incredibly tired of wasting my money on developers like this one here who put out buggy apps and basically steal peoples money. It’s shameful. This developer offers no manual. Go to his website— website is broken. Stay away unless you like throwing your money in the trash bin!

Only slightly user hostile Experimenter’s dream
It takes incoming MIDI and mangles it.
It makes no sound on its own, it needs an AU3 plugin environment.
It has no manual, just a mumble video from the developer.
The support page is a splash page for another app from the developer.
There are hidden features only available through MIDI automation.
It frequently crashes on my Air2
It can humanize your sequences.
It can mechanize your playing.
It can mess with your rhythm.
It can waste hours of your time.
And that’s not even the half of it.

Cality is capable of fascinating and incredible variety. A dabbler’s delight. Put something through its creative mangle and you might get a load of tosh...or something surprisingly good that you would never have thought of without this app.

Really loving the PageFall midi AUv3s. The knobs turn lovely now and the app dials you into just enough controlled randomness to really appreciate randomness. Viva chaos*

Nice results but needs work
Since the developer does not provide means for support through their website, I must use this platform to report bugs.
*Cubasis 2 freezes when trying to freeze tracks loaded with Cality as a MIDI AU.
*when loaded as a midi effects unit in Cubasis 2, the rec to track button does not stay on and interferes with recording with other midi effects in the chain.
*Cality should not by default send midi thru to its output from its input, rather, it should only output the processed midi so we can capture its output in midi. For example, I don’t want to midi record the entire Rozeta Rhythm pattern, only what Cality does with it, instead, it passes what Rhythm sends, which is useless.

Creative opportunities!
Wow, after only playing around for a short time, it’s clear that there is a lot of fun to be had with this app. Loving the granular concept as it applies to MIDI, and looking forward to ways in which it can interact with other apps within AUM. Apps like this keep me very excited about working in a modular way on the iPad. Great work with Cality!
