Great courses/stats- horrible user interface
I have been trying to use this App as a paid subscriber for several courses, both with phone and/or watch.
A coupe good things: it has excellent course maps and a great set of statistics.
The problems is actually recording stats of any value...Trying to keep track of each hit is near impossible as I need to click record/stop for every hit and any mistake is near impossible to fix. The watch and phone show different data and don’t match: Sometimes it jumps to another hole and any GPS tracking is mangle.
I’m sure this is all because I don’t understand how to use it, but there is no manual included on the app, I have searched for good set of instruction on TAG Heuer site, You Tube, etc. and found nothing but promotional videos.

I’m revising my previous review from 1 star to 4 stars. My previous review was based on the fact that I was a long time Fun Golf user and when Tag took over, the app on my Apple Watch was not functioning as well as it had been. Golf functionality on the Apple Watch is back to where it was and better before the ownership changed. Keep moving forward with the app!

Best Golf App for Apple Watch
I wanted to use my Apple Watch as a golf yardage watch and not have to buy a separate one. Although there are many golf apps that allow you to get yardages on your Apple Watch, this app is the only one that allows you to see the whole hole on your watch! By using the Digital Crown to scroll, you can see a graphic of the hole from the green back to the tee. You can scroll to get distances, see bunkers, water, etc. You can also just get simple yardages to front, middle and center like a regular golf watch. When I am hitting my approach shots and don’t have my phone on me, the watch tells me everything I need to know. After I putt out, I can quickly and easily enter my score on the watch and it syncs to the app on the phone.
Another terrific feature is that it gives you two maps on your phone - one is a neat 3D graphic of the hole with key distances notes. The other is a satellite view of the hole, with the ability to touch anywhere on the screen and see your yardages to hazards. You can switch easily between views.
I love the scoring on the app - it allows you to choose how you want to keep your score - gross or net, etc. And it has lots of stats you can keep track of.
It syncs seamlessly between the phone and watch. I always keep my phone in the cart and no matter how far away I am from the cart, the watch yardages always works.

Terrible compared to Fun Golf GPS
Why on earth did Fun Golf change time this. Fun Golf was great. The presentation of scoring, the ability to see the scorecard. It was faster and easier to change/update scores. This isn’t close to Golf GPS. Very disappointed.
Almost awesome
There are 2 things keeping me from giving this app 5 stars. 1. I can’t change the score from my Apple Watch due to what seems to be a bug. 2. There should be a record button on the Apple Watch screen to instantly start recording the shot. Otherwise this app rocks and is one of the most visually pleasing golf apps on the App Store.

I was forced on to this app. I have been using FunGolfGPS for years and loved it. It appears Tag has bought them out. I loaded Tag Golf. Can not get it to load on watch. Also the two d view has gone on the watch and is replaced by an aerial photograph. The 2 D graphic was much easier to use.
After my review someone must have done something as the next time I tried to download to my watch it all worked perfectly. I now have two D graphics as well. Thank you Tag for the rapid response.

First time user.
I bought the newest Apple Watch series 5 gps and cellular two weeks ago... tried two other golf apps and was not thrilled. I downloaded this one and paid the $6.99 for a month as a trial period. I used it yesterday and I am very happy. I will purchase the $40 yearly. All I really want is the distance to green. The other stuff is not important at this stage of my play. I think $40 is a bit much for the simple usage I need but I personally think it is worth it, I hope to eventually use the other features.
I like being able to go thru my game and look at my distance quickly and it was updated as soon as I looked no waiting for the watch to catch up like others. It used 70% of battery to go 5.5 hours of play.

Nice Interface but short comings with 40 USD per year
What I liked, 1)nice visual interface on iPhone and iwatch, 2)easy to work with, 3)fairly accurate distances. What I did not like, 1)on iwatch it kept leaving app and i had to search for it between shots and holes, 2)if I hit off the fairway it sometimes switched to the adjacent hole and i had to reset to current hole, and 3)cost of 6.99 per month or 40 dollars per year feels expensive with its short comings I mentioned before. Only used for one round during trail period and basically ignored the app on last 9 holes.

Seriously the best UX/UI
The UX/UI of this app is seriously the best. Very clean and the watch experience is perfect. I love being able to use the crown to get very accurate yardage to the actual pin locations. I would love the option to keep a handicap with the app! Maybe in the future.
