  • Retire those old remotes!

    Simple to setup, simple to use, simple to integrate. And I’d say it took less time to complete the process than finding an old remote or cleaning one up after the batteries leaked.

    I have several component in my home theater that use IR remotes. With BroadLink, I can control each one with the app or via voice with it linked with Alexa and/or Google Home.

    If you’re ready to retire your old IR remotes, here’s a great way to do it!

  • Great device

    Although this device is hugely capable and pretty intuitive, I can imagine that an average or lower user would have some difficulties in fully utilizing this device. I completed the set up and connected AC and heater and my TV and a Roku device in about 10 minutes I love the new capability of managing my devices and the automation capabilities. I imagine that the low ratings from any of the users that tried this device were from an incomplete understanding that the device is not plug-in in play. It does require basic knowledge of Wi-Fi and possibly Bluetooth and possibly remote control button pushing. If you get those wrong, it isn’t the fault of the device or the manufacturer. I did have a problem with the updated app and had to use the older app as I couldn’t connect with the newer app. Very happy customer.

  • When it works it’s great

    The set up directions seem pretty straight forward until you get to a vague instruction - then it’s try to figure it out yourself. And there are some directions that have no instruction that I can find like “reset”, and some that tell you to do push a button that doesn’t exist. And then timers that stop working for no reason.

    Once you get it set up and working leave it alone as it will be your best ever purchase.
